Another great write up and vids! I am always so jealous of your terrain. You guys make it look so easy. Looks like these tires are the perfect choice for your terrain. :)

Hope ya brought snacks, this is a long one. Don't mind the editing nits; I'm still cleaning them up.

Also, here is the video compilation if you don't wanna read to look at the pretty pictures:

It's like you predicted the future. Woke up at 1am, and here it is 2:50am and I am watching this video thinking that has to be a jet engine sound overlay of an F16 sitting on a runway getting ready to taxi out for take off. No chance I'm sleeping through that 😆

Do me a favor. Shovel out a chunk of that terrain and ship it to me. 30' x 30' should be big enough for us to play on. Just throw a shovel and wherever it lands would be a fine section to send me. The section with the truck on it would be ideal 😉

Have you messed with MOA crawlers much?

That outrunner motor is surprisingly loud and gets a bit annoying on the trail at times. It's one of the reasons we designed a new transmission for the SCX-6. It will allow us to run a 540 size outrunner with the Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster ESC. That setup runs nearly silent and provides plenty of power.

The terrain is fantastic, and with the cool temps here in the desert, we're out on the trail almost daily. I'm charging batteries for an afternoon crawl as I type this.

As for MOA's, they don't interest us much. We built one up, drove it a few times, and then pulled it apart and sold off what we didn't want. Right now I'm focused on the SCX-6 platform with our new moon buggy builds. These are quite fun and perfectly suited to our terrain.

Sounds like an OUTRUNNER !!! using the outer bell with fan vents.
The 9Imod Crawler outrunner I'm using whistles louder and louder further up you go in RPM.

Love that desert environment being so perfect to crawl on !!

I feel like this title is a set up! Its a trap!
TWICE now I've tried to watch this and TWICE I've woken up 2 hours later with my phone stuck to my forehead!!!
The begining of this video is GREAT!!!
I'll get back to you shortly on the rest!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Ok, maybe crawling isn't for me?! The drop off you were turning up and away from around 5min was CRAZY! An r/c KILLER, certainly!
I showed Mrs Certified some of your anti gravity stunts and she said the same! CGI no doubt! 🤣🤣🤣
She's certain that the running "whine" of your motor is actually a well hidden Roombah that has you "stuck" on the rocks!😂
I'm not certain which is most impressive, the scenery or the superglued JConcepts. That truck is STUCK!!!
Amazing!!! 😎😍👍

Newton's Disco is a nifty trail for sure. Has a few exposures what will get your attention for sure! Can't wait to replace that motor and ESC, ugh.

Don't tell Mrs Certified, but I've been trying to find an r/c segment to suit her... I think crawling might be the one!
A trail truck will work once weather improves.
I'm hoping these vids will get her interested in more. 👍
She (we) really are impressed! 😍

Glad you like them. It's good fun to get out for some fresh air and RC work. I spent 2 hours crawling over lunch, it was a great way to get away and relax a bit. Crawling is a zen kind of thing for me. Low stress, things don't break, batteries last a long time; what's not to like?

This is from today..

Last time we went up to the dam I brought three crawlers, I asked Mrs. Doom which one she wanted to drive, and she said the SCX6 Honcho. I told her no. 🤣
I told her she had to start with something a little less powerful. She drove my Element Sendero HD. She had fun even though she doesn't like to admit it. I told her we could get her her own SCX6 but she declined.

See, that's where you messed up. You should have just bought her the SCX6 as a surprize.

"But honey, you seemed to really love it" 😅

The Gorgon @50% is too fast for Mrs Certified. I'm hoping the slower pace will help her to get more comfortable with a radio.
She's worried about breaking things.
I wish I saved all my broken parts so I could show her my swath of destruction! 🙄
Maybe a crawler, maybe a trail truck, maybe 1 of each of Kyosho's Legendary series... 🤔
Prob all of those! 👍🤣
