Which motor for 2wd and 4wd sct

I have a team associated SC 6.2 and a Pro4. I have a HW 3660 3600kv and a HW 3652 4300kv and two bl120 ESCs. Which motor should I use in which truck? I was thinking of putting the 3660 in the 4wd because it's supposed to have more torque but my 2wd is where I'd like to find the most performance. My track is usually a small to med indoor track 15-25 second laps depending on layout. I know the 4300kv should have more top end but I'm not sure that's necessary for my use case.

Most 2wd SCTs like the SC6.2 can only do a 540 size motor so the 3652 would be perfect for that. And id put the 3660 (550) in the 4wd.

I run a 3660 4000kv in my slash and its pretty torquey. Also run a 3652 4000kv in my rustler. Both 2wd.

And also the weight difference between the 3652 and the 3660 is pretty noticeable. Heavier motor for the heavier car, lighter motor for the lighter car. Thats my thinking. 🤔 🤷‍♂️ Something that makes it more durable, the 3660 motor should have the bigger 5mm shaft, compared to the 3652 that has a 3.175 shaft. Well thats what I know from my setups as I run the sensorless G2 motors.

These are both sensored motors I think both are 5mm shafts, I'll have to double check.
 
Best to check rules of track.but if your just going to bash.Id go with 540- 13.5 on 2wd and 550-3500kv on 4 wd...I've been running what I suggested since mt 1st 2 sct in 2wd n 4 wd..on 2 cells same on track if allowed.

our SCT rules are basically open. mostly run 2wd with 4wd unless there's a good group of both. I am now curious if the 550 can will fit in either chassis now.
 
My 2WD Slash has a 70A ESC and 3000kv motor, it is about perfect for me running on 2S, not so much torque that it wears out the slipper prematurely, but plenty of 'short course' punch.

My 4wd Slash has a 3500kv motor and it too runs mostly on 2s, though if I have a bigger open area for it, I'll sometimes run it on 3s. I replaced the slipper in mine with the center diff like the Hoss comes with.

2-pole/4-pole, 540/550, 3650/3660/4268, sensored/sensorless, 2S/3S/4S... like tntpoof said, if racing, check track's rules. If you are not racing... run what you want. Truck's weight is going to be pretty much the discerning factor for what motor a person chooses. Gearing and length of runtimes should also be taken into consideration. What you are thinking is what I'd do with those motors that you mention in your post. Not matter what you choose, check temps.
