Which is better of these fuels

Blue Thunder is by dynamite and as you said nitrotane is by Losi. The parent company of both of those is Horizon. I've never tried the nitrotane but had very poor luck with the blue thunder. I roll with O'Donnell and its been very easy for me to tune even being relatively new to nitro.

I burned MANY gallons of Blue Thunder, but that was in airplane engines. When I got into the MTs, I went from the 15% to 20%. I broke in and tuned a lot of engines at the track and then started to notice that they were outrunning me. TMaxxs, just like mine. Someone offered me a few tanks of Traxxas Top Fuel to try, and I never ran Blue Thunder again.
Now that I have a Savage 4.6, I have the O'donnels. I haven't fired it up yet, but I've never heard anything bad about it.

Ok, I will try a gallon of O'donnell next time a need a gallon. Does it matter if you switch after using one certain kind? I was told it is better to stick with what you first use. Any truth to that?

That is more true with the % of nitro rather than brands. I have switched brands back a forth in the past with not problems....but they were all the same nitro content. I have a choice of one kind of fuel here, Klotz. So I run that...or I don't run at all. But when racing it does even the odds....everyone runs the same thing.....I see some think on their site that is kinda cool..100% pure nitro......http://www.klotzlube.com/storeProdDetails.asp?pi=58

I'm pretty sure that is for guys who want to tweak their fuel mix or make their own fuel mix from scratch, not as a stand alone fuel. You'd blow your mill in short order with no oil, they are still fundamentally two strokes.

Yes I think that is for folks who make their own fuels. I knew boat engines that wanted 50%.....that is rough. So my friend had to basically make his own.....or juice up his 30%

Well I finally burned through all the rest of my Blue Plunder....I meat Blue Thunder today. LOL. I just bought a Gallon of O'donnel's today and will try it out next weekend! That will be my third gallon in my 8T. (once I finish the O'donnel)
