If you are looking for a bargain buggy go with one of the Ofnas. If you want an Inferno, save up a lil more and go with the true 7.5.
Althought I myself own a "sports" I have learned the error of my ways and now feel the need to stand on my soap box and tell the world to stay away from ANY rc car/truck/or buggy that has the name sports in it.
Just about evryone I have ever meet in this hobby wants to someday upgrade their rides to be something better than what it started out life as. With a "sports" model you start a little lower on the rung that everyone else with the true 7.5. It will take alot more money in the long run to get the 7.5 sports up to par with a slightly modified 7.5.
Of course, I can't tell you what to do. I will never bash anyones ride. The sports is a decent basher and if your options are sports or nothing then by all means get it.

If you're a real newbie, get the Storm RTR because it's ready to go and it's a pretty good bang for the buck.
If you're heavy into RC and especially if you have an extra radio laying around doing nothing, check out the Hot Bodies Lightning Pro. You get a lot for $300-$350.
