Where can I send out a nitro Engine to get ported/tuned?

I am under the impression that this sorta thing can be done?

and ideas?

my cousins step dad's brother owns a RC shop, and he tuned and fixed mine up perfectly for like $15 bucks. Ya just gotta know people or get someone to do it for a little $$$

aj he is talking about port/polish. This is done by 3 major guys that I know of. Before I get into names and such you need to understand a few things.

This should not be done for a novice because they are usually harder to tune correctly. The sweet spot is much smaller compared to a regular engine.

This is the more important one. 90 times out of 100 the modifier will not touch the engine unless its brand new. They will also not touch it if it is a cheap engine because they say its not worth the effort.

So answer a few questions then I"ll get into it.

What engine are you planning on having done? How much fuel have you put through it? How much are you looking to spend on a mod job?

I was wondering if he meant pinched. If that's what you're referring to, ask your LHS if they know of someone locally. I asked at the one I frequent and it turns out the owner does it and he gave me a few references when I asked. I have no need right now, but good to know down the line.

well VB i was looking to send out a new o.s. 18 tz or like just in general!!

any more info is very helpful!!! thanks VB!!!!

Ok, rbmods, ebmods, and well thiere is anothe one but I can't think of it off the top of my head. THese guys are the most talked about. I have seen what rbmods can do and its pretty crazy!

www.rbmods.net/

www.ebmods.com/

Both will run you about the same price. Right around $100, but definatly worth it. Sometimes rbmods sells his mod service on ebay and you can get it for cheap. IF you do it let us know who you choose and how you like it.

hoooooooly mess!,

what in the world would you do with MODIFIED 18tz?!?

I've read some good things about tntmods ( www.tntmods.com) they are the same, about $100 and you get a shirt if your into that. I was thinking of having my TM done before the season starts.

Rotorhead you can buy the TM already EB modded......just order it new...would save you some coin and time....
