when tryin 2 start kicks over a few times and makes a wine noise PLEASE HELP

ok yall i have 2.5 sport maxx i got it used and i changed the carb 2 factory settings then i went 2 start it and it hits a few times then makes a wine noise again its not turnin the motor over can someone help me plz

could i have blowed the motor

Firstly wats a WINE noise. Secondly wat do u mean by it hits a few times?

I'm going to hazard a guess on this one. I assume you're using the EZStart system. If that's the case, the whining could be a few things, but the 2 most likely are that the one-way bearing in the backplate is slipping, or there is a stripped gear in the EZStart. Looks like you're going to have to remove the engine and take the EZStart off to inspect it.

+1 most likely the OWB (one way bearing) in the EZ Start.

If it turns out that it is the OWB, try spraying it with WD40. This happened when my OWB on my Chaos wasn't grabbing into the backplate, so I sprayed it with WD40, and it magically worked again.

Mine did that all the time. Blast it out with WD and it should work.

or use gel oil that way it lasts longer
