When I start my Cen CT5, after I take off the glow plug it immdeiately turns off, and if that wasn't enough when I do get it to run I have to constantely press the throttle or it die out, or if I leave it after about 6 seconds it just shut off. Some help would be nice and I would appreciate it alot :D

Sounds like the low end is too rich, or the idle is too low, or a combination of both. Do you have any temp readings?

Glow plug is smoked, change it. Look at the coil when you take the old one out, if it's kinda white-ish, it's too lean on the bottom end

no I dont have any temp readings, damn I need to learn how to tune :( its so difficult

I wasn't being a smart ass, I was just trying to say, have patience and remember that small adjustments go a long way on these things. It's difficult for people just getting into nitro to understand that.

Does take a lot of patience. Just keep tinkering. If all else fails, go back to the stock settings and start all over.
I started with the planes. Got the 2-strokes down and had to learn again after I got a 4-stroke. Got into the cars, seemed like I had to learn all over. I'm still learning.

Like Jet said, little adjustments. Get a temp guage if ya don't have one.
Don't get discouraged. It'll come to ya. These guys will help as much as they can. Good luck.

Even though the plane engines are almost identical, they are rarely a problem, since they usually stay at a good RPM with no real load. The car engines, on the other hand are expected to explode off the line, push a heavy truck through high grass, and scream on asphalt, and run 'no load' while in the air. It takes a good breakin, and very small adjustments and some experience to get it all correct.
If you know of a track near you, someone there will be more than happy to help you get it set up.

I had the sa,e prob. Drive it around for a second or two to get it warmed up then take it out. The same exact thing happened to me.

oh no i wasn't being sarcastic i was just saying iam the type of person that learns first from others rather then myself

Well yes, the best thing to do is have patience and buy what I need to make this work, because at the end its soooo WORTH IT :D

Ok, I didn't want for you to take my comments that way. Reading up on tuning tips is gonna help a lot but there's soooooo much done by sight and sound. You're in a good area to just go hang out at a track and talk to people though.

Your too rich, Too much fuel in the engine for the glowplug to burn itself it needs the extra push from the ignitor. First... try changing the glowplug if that doesn't help Id start with leaning out the hsn first and try that if not move to the lsn but adjust in small incriments.

Good Luck, It has to be one of those 2

allright hopefully that works, do you guys know any good websites or somewere were I can get tuning tips but with pictures and stuff so I can see ???
