When i pull the Pully system to start the engine, its not sucking the gas from the tank?

When i pull the Pully system to start the engine, its not sucking the gas from the tank? I'm not sure why but its just not getting any gas.

make sure you put your finger over the exhaust outlet to get the fuel through to prime the engine when pulling the starter.

Thanks... yeah that wasn't the problem but i fixed the problem... sorry i should have done more troubleshooting before my post lol
