Anyone notice when new era stopped? I just went to their site today and found that they updated their 3-point roll bar for the maxx with one that mounts over the engine. Then I noticed that the jato wasn't on their list of traxxas vehicles.

Hope I never loose a wheel nut for my 1/8 buggy adapters on my jato...

I can only assume demand wasn't there. If you do ever lose a wheel nut for your adapters just call 'em up and see if they still have some around or if they'd make them for you. If they are (I'm assuming they are) for adapters that they made I would imagine they would step up and make/sell you a set.

Yeah, just has me worried... now that they aren't available, I'd go and loose one. They probably make a 17mm hub for other ST's. I should snoop around and see.

Quick question, are you saying that the Jato could become obsolete?

Good lord, I hope not! The LST2 went the way of the dodo... so stranger things can happen.

However, the jato in stock form is a bit more refined in general than the rustler. With a single speed conversion, it's competition ready. Since traxxas doesn't really carry a "competition" 1/10 2wd ST, the jato is their best way to go.

I'm guessing new era just dropped it because the jato just holds up really well. Since they make their money on selling alloy parts, with the jato not really breaking in stock form, it just makes sense to not bother with it. Especially with how the economy is now. Spend money making parts for things people break and buy.
