I can't do wheelies on my tmaxx. Does the new spring i put on have anything to do with it. I got to springs off ebay. Said to have 8.5lbs tension.

Does it bog off the line, or does it pull nicely? It should be able to do wheelies with relative ease, unless you have the old pro .15 maxx with the original engine.

Get some string and tie a brick to the rear bumper.
Works every time :p:

Use the stock red springs on the rear and the new ones on the front. A wheelie is when the back of the truck trys to drive under the front. Loose springs in the rear and stiff ones in the front along with a properly tuned engine will do wonders. A brick works as well.

I found doing what Ed says worked well.

Personally, I never got a wheelie out of my stock 2.5 maxx unless I ran trinity black springs (stiff) in the front and stock in the rear.

Or unless I pegged the throttle when I hit a big bump.

the clutch could be about shot or your slipper (if it has one) may be too loose.

i can get mine to wheelie sometimes when i come off the grass and on to blacktop if there is a little hump there and it kinda does a slap wheelie ,but i am still in the process of building nad testing too,,never really have a chance to run consistently yet ,always finding something that needs to be replaced,i just replaced all 8 springs with trinity light blues, now we will see what they do ,they look and feel awsume

I'm all stock with mine except for a acncm cooling head and i have four shocks right now and i do wheelies like no other when i have 8 in i can't stop doing them sometimes it gets annoying b/c me and my friends race

Mine will do wheelies on command on grass, sometimes dirt, but not on pavement. (unless there is a bump) Has to be perfectly lean (tuned) and warmed up, though. Stock springs on mine.

Really? I was able to get both my old Tmaxx 2.5 and my Bro's Tmaxx to wheelie. Stock suspension and the mine wwas changed out to UE Shocks. Grass always and every now and then with the stock maxx chevron type tires. I used 20"% MHP then switched over to Dynamite Blue thunder 20%. Plug was MC-59.
