Hey, i was just out for a rip with my boy and we noticed that there was quite a lot of wheel wobble when we put it in reverse. And what i mean by this is that both wheels would move back and forth as though the steering was being turned on the tx even though it was not. This would happen at any reverse speed. This is something I've noticed in the past, but it doesn't happen all the time. Oddly enough, when i brought it in the house and changed out the battery i tried it again on the carpet and it tracked perfectly straight with no wheel wobble whatsoever.

Anyone be able to tell me what causes this?

Pretty normal on the pede for the wheels to wobble in reverse.
1st reason is the castor built into the front steering (like a shopping cart with wobbly wheels). 2nd, if the toe is adjusted out too far it will cause the wobble to be more significant than with the toe set to 0.
You don’t see it on carpet as much as you would on road or dirt because the carpet tends to hold the wheels in place.

So since i have rpm front casters installed, it would likely be that i need to have more toe in on the front end?

0 or 1 degree toe out should be fine. A little wobble in reverse doesn’t hurt unless you are racing backwards.
A lot of rc's will wobble the front wheels when in reverse at decent speed just due to the caster angle built in.

Oh ok. Thanks for the input. I was never really concerned with it, i noticed that on my maxx too. I was really just curious.
