I have an exceed 1/10th scale nitro truck, infinitive. I took this thing out to my backyard the other day to see if you guys were right about it, after hitting well over a dozen trees at high speed (because of my ametuer-ness in the woods) cart-wheeled it a couple times, oh, and accidently rammed the side of my house. I Beat the crap outta this thing, and the only peice I managed to break was the other dog bone! (The one that I had not yet replaced.) so, I don't see what you see, apparently. this rig seems bulletproof! :tank: can you prove the :dancingpoop: ness of exceed rigs after the beating I threw at mine???

I have yet to even start mine, but based on what I have read about them, when they first came out they where not very good products.

but based on what I am seeing with mine and other people I have found, the quality seems to improved i.e. they switched from a cheap AM setup to a 2.4ghz with a built in fail safe, I hear more people saying they actually got there orders in a couple of days rather than having to fight and pull teeth to get any customer service now.

I am a newbie to this hobby so this is speculative at best I guess.

Never heard nothing good good about them quality of materials is the biggest issue.I think they would be good for static display.(you get what you pay for):p:

How common are the parts? Can you drive over to the LHS and get them, or do you have to wait out the CNY crap like I am with one of my helis for parts? How's the warranty and after the sale support for them? There are a lot of factors that make up the overall cost of a big name brand rig besides just the car itself.

+1 on the parts and service. Also hearing first hand stories of no aftermarket support. The other problem is that some of these brands sell are nothing but cheap knock-offs of other company's trucks that don't have as good a quality materials.

My first ever nitro buggy was the forza and was the biggest piece of crap i ever wasted money on. The first run one of the wheel nuts came loose and striped out the rim, rolled it and snapped an a arm and stripped a spur gear. I pretty much through it away after that!!

I can order parts and have them in 3 days. Support is good, they are always busy though, so you have to usually wait about 20 minutes to talk to someone, but once you get them, they're nice as can be. you can definently tell that they want your business.

After seeing the "quality" of the parts of an Exceed buggy at my LHS, when some poor soul who purchased one tried to get it repaired, I understood why he immediately purchased a new Savage XL. IMO they are the Integy of Vehicle manufacturers.
