What's up with UPS?

I ordered a new laptop on September 2nd, and got the tracking number later that same day showing that it had been shipped/billed.
When I checked it, day after day, nothing had changed, and the delivery date was Sept 9th. Seemed like an odd delay, but I wrote it off to the Labor Day weekend.
I checked the tracking again today and saw that it was scanned in and out of Phoenix from Tucson and the 'rescheduled' delivery date is now the 13th.
Does anyone know where it was for a week? I usually get an item 3 days after it leaves the west coast by UPS.

I just checked again, and it just departed El Paso, Texas, but it won't be here for 5 more days.

I've always been confused with UPS shipping tracking info

Thats really weird, i have never had any problems with ups... I love that you get the delivery date, unlike USPS.

I get ALL my orders via UPS if USPS isn't an option. This is the first time I've had to deal with a 2 week period from the ship confirmation till the delivery.

that IS really weird Ralph. I don't know what to tell ya. I find UPS to be slow all the way from the west coast but quite quick regionally.

Of ALL the deliveries I get, only once was it FedEx, and I never heard him knock. The next day I had to go to them and wait 1/2 hour to get the package.
UPS has always been absolutely golden. My local guy and I are on a first name basis and we wave if we see each other on the road.
My package sat idle for almost a week, and now I can take a bicycle to El Paso in the time I'm told it will take to get here. I just don't get it.

Yeah thats weird. And I have had the same issue with FedEx before. I was home all day on my cpu and then i checked the status and it said attempted delivery...I called them and they said "Yeah that guy seems to do that a lot. Hes probably about to get fired". I try to go with ups as I have never had a problem with them. But MAN I hate waiting for things that I have paid for.

You know the deal, it has to get some miles put on it before it comes. Or they dropped it! I know how you feel tho, my new lst xxl is currenly at it's 3rd stop in ohio, from indiana, headed to the buffalo/rochester area where I live. I'll see it tomorrow according to UPS. Fed-ex is always slow, and never before 7:30 pm....wtf

According to your details,they made the shipping label on the 2nd but it was not picked up or actually shipped until the 7th,it happens a lot with online shipping. The USPS gets mad if you do that with them because the date makes them look slow.

WOW two weeks! I always choose the 2nd day air because i always buy bigger items at my lhs, but 2 weeks.. I got stuff from china in 2 weeks.

Yeah that suck Rolex...I hate it when that happens...want one even better? My last station was Little Rock AFB Arkansas. I had a package mailed to me from New York off of Ebay. UPS sent it to AZ, Arizona before they realized um....yeah the UPS truck drove right past me going to the other side of the continent. OOps...that took and extra week for me to get it. i sent them an email griping about it and they just said that sort of mix-up happens. Whatever....I have lived with out Fed-Ex or UPS for the last four years in Japan...If I can't get it USPS; I just can't get it at all....sigh. Hope you get it soon my friend.

It scanned in at the Knoxville terminal last night, and right now it's on the local truck for delivery.

NOOOOOoooooooooo.
He was off, and another guy showed up here at about 5PM.
As if I hadn't waited enough. UPS really punished me on this delivery.

Other than that, I just finished setting it up.
