Whats the difference in fuels? My buddy and i run 20% nitro fuel now whats the difference in the color of the fuel my fuel is blue his is pink, now can i run his fuel and vise versa? And y is there different colors i have seen red pink blue orange now if they are all 20% and I'm out bashing can i run there fuel even though its different color?

Might have to tune a little but they should all work. I switched from traxxas fuel to byrons in the middle of a bash session and never went back.

Byron's or sidewinder all the way.
My favorite way to swap fuels is to mix the last of your fuel 50/50 with the next fuel you are going to use. That way the engine bearings are introduced to the new fuel slowly. Sometimes if you swap fuels on an engine that has slightly worn bearings it can be a problem. I switched an Axial from Trinity to Byron's without taking it easy or blending, it did not go well. It sent all the ball bearings straight up the sleeve. Ruined everypart of the engine except the head and carb. I had ball bearings in the ports, under the crank. I just about cried because it was a good engine, I bought it used from a close friend. It died in his driveway on the first tank.

They are no different in the colour of the fuel. It is just something manufacture add to the fuel for marketing purpose. The really different between fuel are the percentage of nitro and oil inside the fuel. Higher nitro content the engine will run cooler and you can lean your engine more = more speed. More oil better protection to your engine but less acceration. :)

Sorry bud, but higher nitro means richer needle settings vs. lower nitro %. Higher oil is unnecessary, anything more than 12% oil is too much and creates excess heat and tuning difficulties. That's why all the fuel brands have reformulated their fuels in the past two years with lower oil content.
However if you run a crappy brand of 20% fuel, then switch to a quality 30% fuel....you may be able to lean more.
Nitro increases O2 in the mixture, Methanol cools and runs the engine. Oil protects it.

Thanks for that tip about blending. It's those types of problems that sneak up on you. By the time you know what happened, it's too late.
