Whats the Difference?

Just the number of clutch shoes which dictates how much slippage the clutch allows as well as how much added rotating mass it will add.

2 shoes for stadium trucks and 1/10th non-competition onroad cars, 3 shoes for monster truck, 1/8th scales, etc.

I prefer barefoot actually. But like most I like the 3 shoe action. I did run a 2 shoe in my lsp with the stocker and it did run well. With 3/4 shoes you get much more tuning options.

I run 3 shoes on my S710 (standard centax setup on this car) and used to run a 3 shoe on my NTC3.

The difference between the 2 and 3 shoe (on the NTC3) was noticable. It provided more grip and snappier response. Slippage was less. It'll give you a firmer hookup when used.

Most trucks and buggies use a 3 shoe setup these days. On Nitro onroad cars, the norm is 2 for the run of the mill cars and higher end cars will use a centax with 3 shoes.

I like the OFNA 4 shoe set on my truggy...I'd run that on my buggy but I can only find the larger diameter Flywheel for it.....anyone know where to get the smaller FW for a 4 shoe setup??
