Season one, three, then two. Enjoyed them all. :)
I watched season 1. Starting season 2. There are some things about this show I like, but there are also a lot of things that are so tacky and cliche. Like at the end of the first season, and all the bad guys stand around explaining everything. My gawd writers... leave a few things to the good guys to figure out. And 90% of the cast members need acting lessons. And the writers seem pretty umm... dumb. They go way overboard trying to spell stuff out. And Reacher's ability to analyze a crime scene is just so unbelievable it's borderline stupid. But aside from these things, I'm still watching it 🤔

Such a sad story. I'll be paying tribute by watching Top Secret and Top Gun tonight. Both of these are Val's best movies. If you guys have not seen Top Secret, and you liked Airplane (Zucker bros), you gotta watch it, because the same folks made these two movies, and they're both two of my top 10 comedies of all time.

I never cared for Top Gun, for a lot of the same reasons you find fault with Reacher, I haven't bothered to watch the TG sequel.

One of my favorite Val Kilmer movies was Thunderheart.

Dude, I had totally forgotten about Top Secret! 😄

In regards to the Zucker bros: Jerry Zucker is my oldest sister's BIL. His wife is my sister's hubby. We went to their home, in Bel Air, back in early 2000 for his wife's birthday. Real nice guy!

Yeah, Top Gun is your typical 80's style production. There aren't many 80's movies and tv shows that I can go back and watch now, even though I liked them when they came out. But I still like Top Gun.

I've never liked Top Gun, Two minutes of flying in a long drawn out romance. :( And I've never cared for Tom Cruise so there is that. I think my favorite Val Kilmer movie was Willow. Also liked Red Planet, and Real Genius.

I saw the original Top Gun in the drive in. I'm an 80s kid, and I love everything about Top Gun

But I must say, I actually prefer the sequel. Can't even say why for sure, but I just think it was a better movie

You do know Reacher is not a documentary right? 🤔 🤣 Just giving you a bad time.

Most of Hollywood requires so much overlooking of reality, that sometimes it's hard not to be knocked out of the moment of the movie. Like when someone drops 60 rounds through their 9mm glock without reloading. At least Reacher is better than most.

Yeah, it's just over the top with some things. Like when he met up with the girl I think named Karla in season 2 ep 2. He says "How was your undercover job". She asked how he knew she was undercover. "Oh, it's because you have a ketchup stain on the back of your coat, and your left heel is worn a millimeter shorter than the right one. And there are 3 strands of cat hair on your bag". It's just corny how he spells that stuff out in every episode. And all their secret codes, and theories that have to be overly explained to the audience at every turn kinda puts me off. I am more a fan of "let the audience figure it out" kinda writing. You can tell the writers of this one have no idea how to do that. Like they think of the end result, no matter how corny, then figure out a way to explain it.

I don't disagree, but it beats the heck out of yet another super hero or fast and furious movie.

I couldn't watch the Mandalorian because there were just too many things I couldn't overlook, I kept getting pulled out of the story. Everybody else I know loved it. I watch a lot of stupid stuff and still enjoy it, but sometimes it's just hard to get into something.

I know a lot of people like the new lord of the rings series, but not for me. The pc casting was the first big turn off, just had a hard time with it. Really wanted to like it but for me it didn't work. Love the movies though.

Who knows, sometimes I'll go back and give something another try and enjoy it. Kind of depends on where I'm at in life at the time I guess.
