Bacon cheeseburger eggrolls. Not terrible but nothing to die for either.

I just put ten boiled eggs in a jar full of pickling spice. In a few agonizing weeks, I'll have pickled eggs. 🫙⏳
Look at you with real pickling spices....fancy! When I make pickled eggs here, I get the gallon jar of pepperoncini and just save the brine. Then stuff in as many eggs as will stay below the liquid and let it sit. Delicious btw.

My wife makes ours from scratch. Man I love the spicy ones!!

Been a minute since I have made any....this post makes me think it might be time soon
My Grandpa used to fill me full of those and pickled sausages then send me back to my parents primed and ready. LOL

I do the same with Mt Olive's Sweet Heat jalapeños. The leftover brine is great for pickled onions, carrots, etc. I just heat the juice and stuff whatever I'm pickling in. Good stuff. I need to save up enough to try some eggs!

Its been awhile for me, as well. You guys got me craving some now!

Last batch, a few years ago. Red from beet juice.

The best I ever had was quail eggs in a pickled brine red from cayenne pepper. They were so hot, but dayum good! I'm ordering some right now 😋

I also save the brine from sliced jalapeños, dill pickles, etc. and throw them in the mix, along with some sugar and a healthy dose of Frank's Hot Sauce, hence the red tint.

Thought I would try Sushi Umi tonight. Not impressed. Especially considering the cost. Hell, our local Kroger has better sushi for half the price. There is a Japanese steakhouse here that has sushi much better for about the same price. No idea how this place is still in business seeing that it's not far from that steakhouse.

We have a couple good sushi places around within a half hour drive. Even a couple all you can eat which are actually worth it...for me...not them, lol. I can eat enough to make anyone regret making that an option.
For the record, I wasn't making any profound protest statement against walmart. I spent an unpleasant 2.5 years working freight for them in the back room and don't wanna give them a dime of the not enough they paid me to do it back. It's personal, not political.

Nope, no sir, no such thing as "good" sushi. 🤮 Cooked seafood is icky, raw seafood is even ickier. 😜🤣
