For lunch today it was Burnt ends with pickled onions, dill pickles Texas toast and a side of Brisket beans. Of course, iced tea. 😎👍

I'm going to try that this weekend. I'll also bring it to work to have my coworkers give it a taste.
In the meantime, try this copycat recipe:

Slice of toasted bread
Use the toast to pickup your dog's doo doo
Cover toast with used engine oil out of your lawnmower
Sprinkle on a couple tablespoons of salt
Enjoy!

😁

Tried vegemite for the first time this morning. I like it! Kinda tastes to me like canned anchovies. It was good enough, I had another toast helping.
Afterwards, Mrs. X made me a Middle East wrap(kibbie, stuffed grape leaves, taboule, babaganoush) from all the stuff she had picked up at a Middle East "deli" a couple of towns over. Very good!

Tried vegimite before, not my thing . It was OK. I guess it's made from the waste products from making beer

The guy I spoke to in Australia said vegemite and a slice of cheese. And his vegemite covered the bread.

Nope! @Warby has the right idea, piece of toast slathered with Biscoff cookie butter! 😍

Like I said, my first time trying it, so I took other's advice and use very sparingly. I agree with this advice. The stuff is very strong, so the amount I had use is just right for my palate.
Just the same with anchovies. While I like it on pizza and Caesar salad, I like it ripped up in small pieces and not left whole. Then there are those that would eat a whole one right out of a can. That's not for me. I like the hints of flavoring of anchovies and, now, vegemite.

Yeah, this conversation isn't for you, Dude. We're going off the adult menu, here. 😛

Ever eat raw kibbie (kibbeh nayeh)? Love that stuff!
No, I've seen pictures, but has yet had the opportunity. Gotta be honest, though. Not exactly rushing nor going out of my way to try it. But, if the opportunity arises, I'll absolutely try it.

My great aunt's husband was Syrian, grew up eating lots of strange stuff!
Different ingredients for a couple versions, I make my own.

My best friend's, in high school, parents were Syrian immigrants. His father's brother owned a popular Middle East restaurant in town, The Sesame Seed. His mother often worked at the restaurant to help out. She would often bring home leftovers. Back then I didnt really care for the taste of the food, so never took advantage of all the wondeful, free goodies.
Years later, in my late 20's, I started acquiring a taste for a lot of different cultural foods(Indian, Mexican, sushi, Middle Eastern). Finally, went to the Sesame Seed, and come to realize why this restaurant had such a good reputation. The food, with my new found palate, was simply amazing! Funny how life works!
