I've made tacos using ground turkey, before. Does that count?
Not what I had in mind, but technically I suppose that would qualify..
I was imagining someone cooking it up like chicken tacos are usually prepared. 😜

Well hell-I was waaaaaaay off then.. I must’ve been the only psychopath picturing a spoon full of of taters, a few slices of ham, slices of turkey, dollop or three of stuffing, couple spoonful’s of grrrrrrrravy, topped with cranberry in a folded tortilla.. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

My original thought was just about making tacos based upon David’s taco pic and it being Turkey day. That would work too I guess. More creative than I was expecting. 🤙

And I just got. 😶‍🌫️
🤣

They brought me this back.

Kinda picked up where I left off yesterday evening and had turkey for breakfast at work (with coffee and a bowl of generic Raisin Bran Crunch). We took home all the leftover turkey, so I'll be on that for the next several days. Not excited about it, but I hate just throwing food away.
On top of that, Mrs. X got a free turkey which needs to be cooked up soon 😒 I may have to send some to @Chubaka since I know turkey F up his digestive system. A small incentive that will put a little smile on my face 😛

I ordered a pound of deli sliced turkey the other day and made some killer sandwiches out of it. Then a local church somehow got me in their list a few years ago, and they bring me two really amazing turkey dinners every year. So I have been eating turkey every day for about a week now 😄

It's about time for a pizza.

So you're a cannibal? Turkey eating turkey. 😝🤪

A very cool cannibal.
Meals on Wheels around here is an awesome program. They also deliver to anyone who was just released out of the hospital for a couple days. More if it's an extended recovery.

With the amount I'll be ingesting, I should complete my shape shift into a gobbler very soon.

A very close and wonderful day with my best friend, his wife and son. Thanksgiving dinner consisted of Matthew's smoked then seared filet mignon with sauteed onions and mushrooms including a garnish of chimichurri. Oh, my goodness, this man can cook. The Mrs. made a velvety smooth baked potato covered with extra sharp cheddar cheese and prosciutto wrapped baby asparagus and Red Lobster cheddar cheese biscuits (my request). Served with a wonderful Merlot. Dessert consisted of caramel apple and blueberry pies. Of course, I'm required to take home,at a minimum, one third of the leftovers along with some more of the Mrs. homemade soup. I am truly blessed with some wonderful and loving friends. Happy Friendsgiving to all.

Time to unbox another brick:

I baked it upside down this time, trying to soften the crust. It worked perfectly although now it looks darker from the bottom..

the dark and dry circle was a test. I added little maple syrup to teff flour hoping it would caramelize similarly to rye. Judging only by the taste it kinda' did, but still not as strongly as the pumpernickel (which consists of just water, rye and salt)
