I make something that sounds and looks similar with cabbage. We call it cabbage patch soup. Love it with some buttered bread.
That sounds so good. Don't be shy, send us some photos. 👀

My son and I had ribeye cutlets and my wife had a porterhouse steak. With chips and a salad. Ribeyes were a bit thin but it was still yum. For dessert, apple cake with cream and icecream.

You, Sir, are my hero!

This week is radiologic technologist week (aka xray tech week), and management has been providing us with either lunch or breakfast. Today, is potluck day, so staff are bringing in a variety of eats.
Here's my breakfast: wings and a raisin bagel. Too full to eat the banana I brought from home.

In my neck of the woods, we call those tomahawk steaks. Sweet. Can you invite us over for steaks on the barby? 🤣
Yes I've recently learnt that not every country has the same names for cut of steak. We have tomahawk steaks too but their bigger than the ribeye cutlets.

We got our first snowfall today. The puppy loves the snow. She gets all giddy. Glad I am retired though. I don't have to drive in it. 😃

Yeah I thought about that after my post. A good Tomahawk is about 3 inches thick to start. We only had them once, at a restaurant. We can buy them at Sam's. $120 or so for two. Maybe next year.🤣 For this year all bets off. Got a couple of inches of snow.. But that can be fun as well.. Just gotta wear shades is all.

Grilled up and constructed the messiest burger: American cheese, a fried egg, avocado, tomatoes, onions, relish, and ketchup. Sided with a large spring salad and tomatoes and onions with Caesar dressing and anchovies.
There was still quite a bit of salad left after the burger was done, so 3 boiled eggs from the fridge helped finished off the rest of the greens. Tasty!

How about using a cake pan and making a full size one?
Perhaps, get really ambitious and make 2 round cakes. Stacked 'em on top of each other with a thick layer of heavy, white frosting in-between.

My breakfast, this morning, was 4 hard boiled eggs and a banana.

Well done on your observation. 🤣🤣

Well, thank you for your words of encouragement.
I'm actually kind of surprised your corner of the world uses a term like tomahawk. I just figured tomahawk is something that would be familiar by those from North America.
Then again, here in the USA, boomerang is a household word.

You'd be surprised how American, Aussies are in these days with the world wide interwebs.

I get that, but even before most even knew what the internet was, certain non-local vocabularies just by chance became common place. Again, boomerang as an example. Of course, TV has a lot to do with it, but it's still fascinating how some words catch on, but others don't.

Yes TV and movies have had a big influence, especially on children. Especially kids cartoons.

How do you use the term "boomerang" over there?
