Maybe you guys are more Aussie than me 😆🤣🇦🇺🪃
I used to be in a video game guild with a bunch of Aussies. I still remember some of their slang like "Flat out like a lizard drinkin'", "Chook", "Arvo", "Fair Dinkum", Yakka, and Sunnies. I also remember a game involving a Sao biscuit but I wont say any more about that here!! ....and NO, I never played, only heard about it! 🤣

Heck yeah!

And when some bloke gets out a pocket folding knife to cut something, I would quickly pull out my Luzon and say: "That's not a knife. This is a knife!"

Your not a true Aussie unless you've played the Sao biscuit game (aka soggy Sao) 🤣. Jk. No serious, I am joking.

I also used to work with some Australians when I worked in the Casino business too. I seem to remember one of them telling me that no self-respecting Aussie drinks Fosters. I'm not sure if that was just him or if thats a common truth there. Oh, and several of them told me that American beer is just watered down kangaroo piss. lol

BTW, I absolutely love the Australian people. At least out the ones I've met you guys seem to be a brutally honest, a bit impulsive, and wild streak a mile wide. I can get on board with people like that :)

We've derailed this thread a bit, but I'd like to say:

"She'll be right, mate"
"Far dinkum"
"G'day bloke"
"Smoko time"
"No worries"
"You beaut"
"In the ute"
and
"Bloody oath"

Why carry a 3" folding knife when you have the option for a 12" folding knife? It's like bringing pepper spray to a gun fight.

To me its like saying all Americans, shoot people. We do not, at least the sane ones. I was giving a boomerang , when I was 12 for my birthday. Never even thought about the Aussi thing. Just had fun with it. They only come back if you throw it correctly. My city was on lockdown, 3 weeks ago. Maine, mass shooting. Really is a drag on our community. I have an AR. But I feel I can be responsible with it. Some, not so much. Welcome here.

This reminds me of a joke I've once heard:
What do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back?

A stick!

tom tom tom high-hat

I did get it to start thinking about coming back. Does that count 🤔
It worked for me. 🤷‍♂️ Then I got my 1st BB gun. A Daisy. Was the most fun I had as a young kid , but for riding a bike.🤣

It took me some time to make it work for me. Gotta throw it with it pointed out and hard. :thumbs-up: It came back after a few throws. Hard to catch though.Never did. 🤣Been 45 years ago.
I got a foam 3 bladed boomerang toy from the dollar store a little while back, and it worked pretty well and was rather entertaining for a mere dollar!

How is me remembering Aussie slang terms like saying "All American's shoot people"? 🤔

Yeah my bad, big time. We here are on edge. At least We are, in our home town. My apologies.Seems like every day we have a funeral. We don't attend though.

Breydon is with his mom for Thanksgiving, so he wanted me to do Thanksgiving dinner this weekend. Best I can do is Bob Evans
