We use fish sticks to make our mock Filet o fish sandwiches, easier to make it the size you want. :)
I've done my own home version with frozen fish fillets as well, but there's something more to those dang yummy McDonald's FOF, I can't replicate. The same with their breakfast burritos.
No, it's Dis McGusting 🤣
Stop McHating!

I'll McHate all the McHell I want mister! I do like McDonalds a couple times a year. I like the McRib until I eat one lol.

I just had a can of Campbell's tomato soup with club crackers. It hit the spot on a chili day after it being nice the last few days. I feel all warm and fuzzy now.

Nothing smells better than Campbell's tomato soup cooking.
The wife is zapping me a Lean Cuisine but your guess is as good as mine what it is.
I figured something out. If you let those thaw out in the fridge overnight, then pop them in the oven, they taste even more like cardboard. Still experimenting 🤔

At least they are consistent!

There are a few of them that don't taste horrible. But my problem is the cost of those little dinners. And I am not sure if there is any benefit to eating them when it takes 5 of them to fill me up 😜

Speaking of pizza, I have a funny story. Or embarrassing, depending on my mood at the time you read this. If this thread was titled "What's Cooking" my response here would be "paper towels".

I woke up and checked this thread, and for some strange reason, I was craving pizza 🤔 And I remembered I made a pizza wrap that was really good.

So I browned some sausage, added some shrooms, seasonings, red pepper flakes, etc. I turned the burner off and made the wrap with pizza sauce and every white cheese in my fridge. Then off to the oven it went. After putting things back in the fridge, I grabbed a couple paper towels and wiped the stove down.

While the oven was doing its thing, I decided I'd go play some Call of Duty. My timer goes off 13 minutes later, and I return to the kitchen to this weird smell, where I would normally expect to smell pizza.

When I got to the stove, there was this weird gray blob on one of the burners. It was waving around like it was alive, and it nearly literally scared the poop out of me. But then I saw it was smoking. I thought to myself, there's no freaking way that's alive and smoking! I looked up and realized I turned the knob "almost" off! And there on the burner, lay a pile of paper ash, looking all horror movie like and waving in the breeze of me walking up to the stove 😜

Better check them smoke detectors.. 😵

The smoke detectors are in the bedrooms. Far from the kitchen 🤔 But there wasn't really any smoke. It was just a single size paper towel (2 half sheets). And it probably didn't really catch fire. The burner was still on very low, and is an electric stove.

@WickedFog This reminds me of my early bachelor days, I put a frozen pizza in the oven, came back a few minutes later to check on it and noticed smoke starting to pour out of the oven, I was like what the heck?! I opened the door to see ash and cinders all over my pizza.

*PRO TIP: Remove pizza from box before placing in oven.🤣 never cook while distracted!

LOL

Kids.......this is why you should not do drugs!
🤣

It's just my son and me this weekend. So, we'll probably going to be eating like single guys. Started with lunch, just a little while ago. I headed over to Wendy's, and got that hot honey chicken sandwich. One for each of us. I also figured, I give their fish sandwich another try. My son didn't like fish, so, I got him their new hand cut fries.
The chicken sandwich were delicious, but lacked crispiness. While the size of the chicken cut was decent, it wasn't anywhere near the size of Popeye's or Burger King's. At over $6, it's also the most expensive. I haven't tried KFC's crispy chicken yet, but as of right now, here's my order of favorite premium chicken sandwiches:
1. Popeye's
2. Burger King
3. McDonald's

I didn't list Chick fil A, because I find it way less favorable by far, to me, than McDonald's cheap McChicken sandwich.

While we're on the subject of McDonald's, their fries still reign supreme! I keep hearing the buzz on how much better Wendy's new hand cut fries are over McDonald's. It was ok and all, but not up to par to with McDonald's IMO.

Lastly, Wendy's Alaskan fish sandwich. The first time, I had their fish sandwich probably over 5 years ago. I didn't really care for it. The quality was there, but the overall flavor just wasn't, for me. The fish sandwich I got today was pretty good. Much better than the first time I tried it. Better than my favorite Filet-O-fish? It's close, but I still love the Filet-O-fish!
