I don't find that tofu has much of a taste. Like white rice. It's mostly a texture thing. Also, tofu is drastically different depending on the firmness.
You’ve got to season it right; it’s a blank canvas right out of the package. Marinating is a great way to flavor it.
And white rice is completely fine by itself, but if you add soy sauce and garlic butter and some brunoise and stif fry it you get really good fried rice!

I grew up on tofu, so I don't even need marinade. Whatever it's cooked in typically enough for me.

Very gouda! You did a grate job although it could have been sharper! I Swiss you the best on the next on.
