Hey guys,

For those of you who this applies too... and you know who you are! LOL

I was just sitting here looking at the clock and thinking to myself.... Man I can remember when my Friday nights were just starting at 10 PM. Hell, I can remember when my Friday nights and Saturday nights ran together.... well sort of. LOL I spent alot of time downtown at the clubs, or shooting pool somewhere until they kicked us out.... which didn't happen too much. I live in the country.. so there was always somewhere to get a drink. Anyway... I was just wondering how you now older guys used to spend your Friday's... as Junior says... "Back in the day"

Tom

well my -18 days were very diff than my 23+ days then were from my 30+ days.

These days, I can have just as much fun, if not more, at home than going out. I'm boring now and as *** as this sounds, I actually like just hanging with the GF and doing nothing sometimes.

But back then, Fridays nights turned into "Where there hell am I? What day is this? No I can't give you cab fair! What time is it, Oh poop, I gotta get to work. Did we ...Uhhhh..? Oh... ok, heres a $20. How do I get back to NJ?

So Yeah, times were very diff back in the day yo!

WHAT? A WORD FILTER? SINCE WHEN?!?!?!---NOT COMPLAINING...JUST, SINCE WHEN??

Lets see....I lived in a very small town growing up..So there was nothing to do but party..We had our local party spots out in the woods. If the cops came and broke it up we would go too the next hot spot a re fire the party...I did a lot of camping my old man would pull the fifth wheel to any were I wanted it..Most of the time we my posse would bring our dirt bikes along..We always picked the big lakes in the summer..LOTS O GIRLS..from out of town...OHHH the hook ups I had down by the lake in the middle of the nite

Then when I got my license...And my first car..64 ford fairlane 2 door post 289 hipo built too the hilt. It was the baddest ride in town!
We would Cruz town pick up chicks and suck face...And party till dawn or until I got some...

Then go home sleep till 4 pm get up and do it again...

shooting pool, & driving to tiajanna (sp) i dont think ill ever hear the phrase its ONLY 3am again

now i just try to stay at home with the wife...sounds boring, but nothing id rather be doing

Friday nights =:wasted:

He!!, back then, M..T..W..T..F..S..S = :wasted:

I like Zandor grew up in the sticks, but near the water, so there was always a stretch of sand to hang out at once the sun went down. We used to hang in my buddies garage shooting pool downing a few cold ones and just having a good time. In a small town there is nothing to do but party. Just not much else to do. There is nothing like 10 guys trying to hide their beers when my buddies dad would unexpectedly pop in. I think he knew but he never let on. I had fun chasing the skirts too. It was a challenge and I was up to it. There was always one who would say yes for every 10 that said no! LOL Lets just say there were a few summers where I slept in the back of my truck more than in my own bed. I am glad I got that out of my system though. I am happy with my life now as much as I was back then. Now, I can't say I always did the right thing, or the responsible thing, but it was an experience to say the least. I am looking forward to getting married this May, and will not even for one second look back and say, I missed doing that. Hell, it is cool that I even made it to this point in my life. :ponder2: I had a blast, but like Tim McGraw said... I will do it better in my next 30 years! So I rasie a bottle to past, and to the future! Hey.... at least we have a few good stories to tell. Most of the time though... I think damn.... I could never keep up that pace anymore.

when I was 17 to about 26 I spent most Fridays in teh village in the summer skating and we would go to NASAWetlands, CBGBs, Coney Island High at midnight for a few hours......either pick up chicks or go skate til we were ddead.....we (the plaid Fish TRibe)worked for Peter Geishen at "the Tunnel" Club For a few years...our Friday and Saturday Nights were paid to skate a ramp at the end of a huge dance floor...the ramp was enclosed w/ fence and raised off the floor about 4 ft....I felt more like a rockstart getting out of the ramp than actually getting a gig at CBs......in the winters it was usually spent driving to killington, sunday River, HUnter or Okemo mountains.....or driving in cramped cars across country to get to a "hook up" on a condo for 10 days and free lift tickets from board companies.....or scamming tickets in many ingeneous ways.....LOL....I've gone to resorts w/ 5 bucks and had hook ups for places and tickets and used the taped dollar trick to get sodas and change and sell the sodas for money to eat for the rest of the trip......I was a bit wilder in my youth.....now I play video games w/ my daughter and help my friend finalize permit applications for a new skatepark......I used to always say "if you're not now...You Never Were"....I hope I can live up to those words I spoke so carelessly back then.....I want to be like Salba and Steve and art Godoy when I'm 60 and still doing Pool raids w/ 4" pumps......I'm banking on Bionics Being really big by then.....ROFLMAO....

Hey Plaid I know what you mean about living up to words spoken when our only concern was having to make it to first period, and trying to get out of Detention. I by no means ever lived a hard life or anything, but I had fun. My old man told me something along time ago that still sticks with me.... "Life aint no dress rehearsal" You know when he first said those words to me I had no idea what the hell he was talking about. I do now. No second chances..... live life while you still have a chance.

Friday nights? Can't remember what happened but from 17 to about 20 it always started off driving around and hitting up the girls at Francis Lewis High School, St Agnes Academy or Mary Lewis (Plaid, you may still remember those girls ... nice catholic school girls). Once I hit 21 and could drink legally, it was off to the village but I didn't skate like Plaid. Back in those days, it was the Palladium, Lime light, the tunnel was popular as well but mostly just hit the bars around NYU campus.

Friday nights now are spent working hard so that my Saturday nights can be spent setting up the cars for Sundays races.

I can't remember 18...

LOL.... I know what you mean. The older I get the hazzier the memories become. Revo, your not that old are ya? :)

When I was younger I used to work my ass off so I could have a nice car, so the weekends I wasn't working, Most likely you could find me "Cruising" the strip. Theres a street here called "division" that people have cruised since the 50's. The street gets lined up with cars and bikes and people just hang out. So I used to do that alot. Met alot of chicks, got into alot of fights, and raced alot of people. These days its just a bunch or ricers, so its pretty much a waste of time, but that was some fun poop back in the day. (Only draw back was there were alot of gangs out there) Id cruise most the time of Fri. then on Sat. we would go dancing at this club called aftershock. Again alot of girls, less fights but there were a few, and alot of girls..did I mention the girls??

Diver what years did you go to the tunnel....you remember the ramp??

I didnt discover the tunnel till mid/late 90's. I loved the basement.

I think the ramp came out in 94.....I stopped going in 93...I moved in w/ Ex and she wasn't too down w/ me working there anymore.....I could understand why.....

I was a lonley child.
I stayed at home and wached porn.
I guess I'm a lonely adult as well :D

I might be a little older than most here, but do any of you guy's from NYC remember the Fun House (11th ave, 26th street)?
I used to go there till the place started getting poopy (1986ish).
Then I went to the underground.
After that closed, Studio 54 re-opened, and became the next spot.
Before you knew it, everyone was going to clubs in Long Island.
(Speaks, Sprats on the water, Focus, Metro 700, etc).

that wasn't a club that where all the ho-ars were...LOL...and all those times you thought you got lucky and must have "lost" the money in your pocket....

:jk:

that wasn't the club at 601 w26th in the baby watson cheesecake factory building was it???
