well i have a revo 3.3 i like to mud and go deep in water. what do yall think about putting traxxas t lock in the revo whats the good and bads

I have been toying around with the idea my self i have all the stuff to do it, but the problem i am running into is a place to mount the servos, linkages, ect

well duct tape and super glue and jk ya i thought about making it where you have to engage it manualy

yeah thats all well and good but its alot more "trick" if you can be like "hey man check this out. . .*click*". . .you know what i mean?

ya you will just have to have a low profile linkage arm for the rear i think a 4ch tx and rx would be better so you can engage front or rear or both if you want

its funny you guys have been thinking about this because so was I its just the servos that would maybe be a problem. the front is no problem but the back would need to be converted to a side exhaust for the extra room and you could maybe make a small lexan plate and mount a servo somehow to it. but i really want to try this when i get some money

What about a standard locker in the rear and a t lock in the front? You could unlock the front via the tx to gain a little bit of steering back and just switch back to an open diff in the rear if your not going into the deep stuff that day. Takes only about a half an hour to change out the guts in a diff.

with a locker in the rear won't the handling suffer????. . .i do alot of road running with my revo and i don't want to break anything if i do, do a locker in the rear

Your right on, Rob. A locker will kill your handling and cause breakage on high grip surfaces. But if this fellow mud bogs most of the time, locked diffs might be up his alley.

well i think when i get the money and get the right parts ill try to do a build process! one question: will the t-lock diff fit the stock revo bulkhead? if yes then i am trying this soon for sure!

thanx for clearing that up for me i thought i was right but i wasn't 100% sure i run in mud as well but i mostly run on blacktop thats why i have a set of the roadrages on my rig right now, but i really wanna get a set of the HPI Phaltline tires but i want a specific style of wheel i just can't remember the style

well i drive on the road as much in the mud. the bigest prob i have with my revo is when I'm on the road and gun it one rear tire blows up bigger then the other. so if i could make it where a can lock it when i want ill have better controle over the car. plus it be cool to be able to lock it when i want

thats a real good question if they fit or not i think they will. and if you do try iy you will need to drill a whole in the chassis for the locker arm

yea either that or heat up some linkage and bend it to fit but most likely i could work it out somehow over a weekend if i had the parts so I'm gonna start looking around for t-lock diffs and i have a 2 pairs of diffs and bulks sitting in my room but they are just stock so it doesn't do me any any good but i might try a spool in one of them?

i think they are like 45$ on ebay kinda pricey

Locker on the road equals breakage. Unless you never give it any throttle when you turn.

I can't agree with you more Matt. Here is pictures of a tranny AFTER a rear locker and a 30 second run on pavement. So I say to you... good luck and I hope your LHS stocks Traxxas parts.
