This may be a total newb question but, I've got my first "turbo plug" engine (Sirio .12 3-port) and I'm not sure what plug to run in it. With a std. plug I run the OS#8 and was very pleased, I want a plug as reliable as the #8.

The engine is the Sirio, fuel is 20% Blue Thunder (thinking about switching to Trinity though) and I'm just a parking lot racer.

Friend of mine says he likes the Dynamite plugs but want more opinions please........Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure small blocks with 20% nitro should use hot to med plugs... I'm not certian though... I like the novarossi plugs.

guess what I meant to ask is whats a good reliable plug (name brand?) for what I'm running. I've tried the dynamite plugs, med heat, and they just didnt seem to last long. Coil seem to "burn out" after a few tanks.......... no I'm not leaning the crap out of it....LOL.......

.21, can you give me a link to the nova plug?

busted: I've considered the WL but my lhs doesn't carry it and the closest hobby shop that does is over an hour away........may have to try it later though

used to be, last year, that there was 7-8 of us that would get together and run......now......it's dwindled down to 3. Still may call up there and see what a case would be............I just hate to get hooked on something and have to drive so far to get it................LOL

Since you are using a Sirio with 20%, you won't really have to be too worried about blowing out your plug or detonation.I will strongly suggest a Novarossi turbo plug C6TGC for a high humidity day or C7TGC for a lower humidity day. MAKE SURE it has the letter "C" at the end. "F" is a cold plug. "C" is the hot plug.

Thanks Diver, I'll pick up a couple, and a few of the Trinity plugs, at the LHS this weekend if they have them, if not, guess I'll go where the white lightning is sold.......sheesh I hate to drive that far...LOL........thanks again

OS #8 plug compatibles ?? the equivelant of the O.S Racing No8 Plug, which i use is either a firepower F4, or ENYA No5 (i think its a no5, will double check though).

Both give good performance, but i find the Enya plug to be the better.

The #8 is a standard plug, in which I used to run and was happy with its performance. But now that I've got the Sirio, I need a turbo plug. I know OS makes a turbo plug but didn't know how good they would be in the Sirio or if another brand would be better.........

well, I guess I should've found out what was available before I started asking, only plugs I could find were the P8 from OS..........oh well, at least I know the #8 is a good one, maybe this will be as good, I also picked up a gal. of 30% Trinity monster HP.......can't wait to get this puppy broke-in and see what it will do...................thanks for all the advise

os P6 for humid/cold days, and os p7 for not humid/warm-hot days. the p8 will be too cold of a plug for that engine, it may run, but the temps will be high.

A P6 will be called for if the weather is very hot and humid. If you use too cold a plug, you will get predetonation and will result in pinging.

Sl0eg1n had to go to a hot plug to get his engine running correctly when the humidity was extremely high. He was getting moisture in his tank and excessive fuel being spit out the stinger. Common signs on a humid day that you need to go to a hotter plug.

when its hot, I stay in the air conditioning.....LOL......but, this goes against what I've been told for the past umpteen years...LOL..oh well, learn new stuffz everyday I guess....please remember guys, I'm just a dumb old hillbilly

BTW, thanks again Diver!
