Well screwdrivers philllips and flat head hex drivers allen wrenches plyers 4 way wrench. If you pic up the latest issue of RCCA (rc car action) it list a "must have tool" article that should answer you question.

Those precision screwdrivers should come in handy. Make sure you invest in a nice set of hex drivers. Mine are from Trinity. I know Chris swears by his Ofna drivers. A four way wrench is a must have. A nice set of dental picks are nice for those peskey e and c clips. A temp gun is a nice tool to have to keep an eye on your temps. A long flat head screw driver for tuning your engine. You will also want a socket driver and some of various sizes. That should be a good start for now. You will add stuff to your tool box as you get into it. Enjoy.

#1 and #2 Philips head screwdriver

#1 and #2 flathead (short and loooong of each)

Drill Blank based hex drivers (buy a set made for the hobby so you get the sizes you need) Losi, OFNA, Trinity are just a few names to look for

4 way wrench for glow plugs and so on (or just a good nut driver for your glow-plug)

Nuts Drivers (again, go with a hobby set, I use Hobbico so I got all the sizes I needed)

Ball hex wrench for engine mount screws

Needle nose pliars (I bought a hobby set pair because it is made for bending linkages, stripping wire and holing shock shafts)

Turnbuckle wrench (you will appreciate this tool!)

Ballcup wrench (you will REALLY appreciate this tool)

Dental Picks are AWESOME for too many things to list

Assorstment of brushes

Spray bottle (adjustable!!!!)

Files

and last but not least, A Dremel!!!

I probably left something out..........

Opps. that "sewar" up there was suppost to be "swear."
