its a bit more involved than that, special gearing, special shocks, longer chassis, longer arms, more bracing, etc. they just share similar chassis layout style.

you should build a truggy maxx with the jt racing chassis its pretty kool

I would have to agree w/ this very much.....out of all the truggies I've seen or had the JT Havoc was the slickest design I've seen yet...has the shortest wheel base of all the truggies except the SUT or OFNA types but handles like a dream...build it w/ after market t-maxx stuff and it will whoop ass on pretty much any truggy.....although to build it right costs serious cash.....about a grand for the rolling chassis.....the LSP would actually be my second choice if I were getting a new truggy...sorry VB & AC.....Unfortunaltly I sold my havoc to fund a mutant maxx.....never again.....

one other down side to JT is there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE....nothing zip zilch nada....so you better know your poop before doing that one.....

thats a nice lsp also...man they look awesome..do you have to buy lots of tires for them..it looks like they wear out quickly

The tires pictured on AC's LSP are the stock tires. There have a fine tread .... kinda like a holeshot or a square fuzzie ... anyway the point I'm trying to make is that that aren't worn....they came that way.

I also have a HB LS RR....Love it!!! The stock tires work quite well on a high bite track.

wow...thanks plaid that was awesome to see it run,i can't believe how fast they are,how do you start them?starter box?now you've really got me interested....

that one is starter box now but in that vid it was running a stock mill......it's a real PITA engine though....I'd do what AC did and sell it right away and not use it.....the next weekend after that footage was shot the conrod went through the case.....sounded like a gunshot in the middle of the race.....now it's running a rossi 421 mod....freakin hauls some serious ass now...he gets times comparable to the top buggy times there.......for a minimal effort in stiffening the chassis type mods it's the nicest truggy kit out.....unless you want something different and custom (and headaches) I'd have to say the LSP is the way to go.......I'd get the pro and change the arms to the plastic ones though......

Stock the come with a rotostart system. Most pullstart engines will mount but ones with the large backplates like the SH .28 and Mach .26 will not with out mods, although the mods are easy. Or you can mount a non pull like I did. My wasp .28 is actually a n on pull engine and starter boxes work fine on truggies.

AC, did you try the wasp in your buggy?
I was at the engien modder's place after my fantom was broken-in and he's said that mill (same as the Fantom) spooled up quicker and reved higher than the 421 he did right before it......it may not be race legal but it's nice to know you can drop a 150 dollah mill in and go run w/ the big dogs.......

VB,
NO
Right NOW
