I think he should find a way to motorize his beanie and that way he can transport himself outside with minimal effort. That kind of propeller speed should also help clear out the strange smell coming from the mods lounge.

The staff insisted that I wear it in the lounge to keep the air moving. I flap my ears because it concentrates the odor around my face.
I blink a lot because it really burns my eyes.
However, I thoroughly enjoy basking in the fragrance and warmth.
