I just got a jr xs3 pro 75mhz radio for my inferno mp777 special 1. I dont want the stock servos! What do u recommend for a 1/8 scale buggy?

Unlike most Monster Trucks, a buggy doesn't necessarily need huge torque in the servo department. I still recommend HiTec digital servos to all my friends :D

In this case a strong and fast servo for steering and a fast servo for throttle/brake duty.

How deep are your pockets on this one?

I think that speed or transit time is more the factor here but torque is still needed. On MT's I have JR 650 for steering.

Considering the fact that I run three buggies (two MBX-5s and a GS Storm), I'll not belabor the point of the semantics.

I run HiTec HS-5625MG for throttle/brake duty and the HS-5645MG for steering duty (thanks for asking this question and making me check my set-up...I just noticed I have one of my buggy's servos mixed up...)

At any rate, these are digital servos and are plenty fast and plenty strong (torque-wise)

HiTec has two new servo lines in the digital class, a Karbonite and a Titanium series. These two new lines are stronger and faster than their counterparts listed above. You may want to look into them.

Well I would take SkyMaxx's opinion as wisdom gained.

LOL...I'd be flattered.

Note, the above is just a suggestion. They are great servos and serve their purpose quite well; however, there are others out there that work equally well. As I asked in my first post, how deep are your pockets on this one? The cost limits might help refine the search for a good set of servos.

ill second skymaxx's suggestion. i have 2 sets of the exact same servos myself, and they perform incredibly. brakes are strong enough to make my buggy endo in the grass if i want, and the steering is stong enough to hold the front wheels in place and it will turn the entire back end of the car. not to mention both are very fast.
