I need some suggestions for a radio for a hpi rs4 3 type ss. I wanted to stay under about $70. Please tell me the best pistol radio that I can get for around $70. Thanks alot for everyone's help.

...i guess no one has an opinion.:ha:

The price range you are talking to doesn't leave you a lot to choose from. That is probably why you haven't reveived too many responses. Most decent radios run better than $100.

Have you tried eBay?

Well, I purchased a radio for my brother a few weeks ago. I think it was the Futaba 2PL. It's AM, has ABS and goes for around $84. That's the cheapest I've seen. Anything cheaper and you basically get what you pay for. If I were you, I'd get a radio worth it's weight since you have already invested money with this hobby.

ok thanks so what radio would you reccomend around $100.

With radios it's all about the features and the capabilities.

You want an FM 75mhz radio because it's less glitchy than the AM radios and you have more frequency choices in the 75mhz band (this comes in handy when you have a bunch of RC's together).

Next, you need things like end point adjustments and exponential settings.

If at all possible, you should find a good radio that has a lot of nice features and then just tuck you money away in the piggy bank until you have enough to buy it. In the end, you'll be glad that you held out for what you wanted.

NA what radio do you have? It's like an Airtronics or something? That one sounds like a nice radio for the price. Maybe he can fill you in. He also races on-road so maybe there are some features we off-road folks don't care about.

Good Luck,
Rob

i use the Hitec 3D FM, so does skymaxx. However, it aint cheap, lol - will be over 200.00 with servos.

One of the best medium level radios is the Airtronics MX3, it has tons of features and costs about 120.00

thanks a lot NA and Rob. I'll have to check out the MX3. $200 is just a little to much for me. Thanks:fro:
