I have a traxxas nitro 4-tec and it has the original .15 motor in it and it has needed a rebuild for a while so just took out the shim and raised the compression as i knew if the motor went i could replace it, and the time has come for a new motor. What sizes can i sqeeze into this beast, I've been out of the hobby for a while so I'm not up to date with what new motors have come out and which ones are better performers, so any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if the chassis layout on the newer nitro 4-tec differs from the original with the oldschool .15 ? Also will the new 3.3trx need any other upgrades to utilize this motor? (new throtle linkage etc.) I'm looking for a motor that can easily just be dropped into the car.

I'm not a fan of the car,but I believe it should bolt right in,I believe the newer model of that car comes with the 3.3 so it shouldnt be to hard. You might need a new header and pipe? But it would be worth it for the swap I believe.

You'll need a new linkage too since the pro .15 is a rotary barrel carb. The newer 2.5 and 3.3 both use slide carbs.
