well it has some air leaks, I would like to get sealed. id like to know the factory setting on the carb. and what rebuild kit, id have to find...

It looks like a Older Style HPI Nitro Star motor 2.5 or 2.0.... That would be my guess

I bet it has some air leaks. Looks to me like the block is cracked

NC I am thinking you are right. Cracked right along the mounting ear = pretty much done.

I'd say a busted engine.

A Losi 454 (rebadged LRP .28) would make for a really nice engine for that Savage!

The LRP .32 will also fit in the Savage. Before you pull the trigger on buying a new engine, might want to see what Robin over at extremercmods.com also has available.
