Even though the Slash can take a beating, nothing is indestructible and parts are bound to break.

Here is a list of what I have broken none of which preventing me from continuing to run the rig in the race.

Cracked plastic shock cap
Bent stock shock shaft
Bent steering rod
Servo saver
Rear skid plate

Front A arms
both Steering blocks
My VXL esc (soon to be replaced with MM)
The Shell (now replaced)
My pride.... when showing off saying the famous last words "HEY YA'LL, WATCH THIS"
which end results happen to be the top 4.

I have not broken anything so far... I replaced the stock plastic caps with the aluminum ones and have had no problems. Maybe I am not driving it hard enough?

same here. nothing major here. i have displaced the rear skid while jumping off a home made ramp but thats about it.

Shock caps
3 rear arms
steering knuckles
camber blocks
4 RPM steering blocks
4RPM camber blocks
steering servo
2 bodies
servo saver
MANY steering hinge pins
rear bumper mount
transmission layshaft pin
bulkhead brace
Many rear hubs
Many RPM rear hubs
transmission output yokes

and worn out many many motors (around 8 or 9)

so far just shock caps, bent shock rods, spun the hexes off two stock wheels, front shock mount and i bent the shaft on my CC 4600 motor a few days ago.

stripped shock caps, rear bumper mount, rear a-arm

that's about it and for the abuse you can put these things through is nothing.

Owned my Slash for 8 months now, mostly ran on the track but occasionally bashed it or drove it very hard at the track with the VXL system in it. Here are the parts I have broken/worn.

1. Broke 1 Stock Rear Hub Carriers / Replaced both with RPM Rear Hub Carriers
2. Bent Both Rear Shock Shafts / Replaced with stock (LHS Didn't Have Ti-Ni, Spec Rules Do not Permit)
3. Replaced worn stock motor (8 months old, still works) with new stock replacement.
4. Replaced stock body that was still usable for something more unique on track. Stocker still functions well.
5. Bellcrank bushings worn, replacing with bearings (if track permits).

Nothing. I did manage to pop a shock cap on the last big jump at my local track for the first time. I have some aluminum ones to remedy that.

1 front carrier,
2 shock caps popped of first day, replaced with aluminum and never another issue.
1 MM 7700 engine bearing failure (not slash's fault)

Other than that we have a heck of alot of fun with these things. We race pretty hard and have plenty of wrecks with very few failures. Couldnt ask for a better platform.

God, must be the torque of the electric motors! So basically you better be good at DIY for these bad boys!

I never broke anything on my first slash and when I traded it off, the guy that got it still hasn't broken anything on it other than maybe a driveshaft and he's been running a mm 5700 (he's also prone to break things just running them across the living room).
