I have a Novak 21.5 motor, acan I use any ESC with it, I don't know it's Kv rating it doesn't say on it.

You need a brushless esc that can handle a 21.5 turn motor. You have to know if your motor is sensored or sensorless as well.

Its probably sensored, DO you want pics of it?

Oh, so I't a motor for a rock crawler, well. I got this motor alone with a on road electric CAR, so I guess it wouldn't go that fast, right?
What other brushless system would you recommend? I'm looking for something cheap.

Check out hobbywing. Ebay is loaded with them. I ran a 35amp 3000kv setup in my Rustler and it worked pretty good. You'll want a motor with a higher kv rating though. What batterys do you plan on using?

NiMh batteries or LiPo, but I don't know if I'll have money for a good lipo.
How long do you think that system will last?

OK, so will the novak 21.5 be faster than brushed at least, Because I just found an ESC on craigslist and he's including a venom 4000Mah LiPo.

Depends on the motor. If the deal is that good on the esc/lipo, you could always pick up a faster motor later. My hobbywing setup worked fine until I got careless and over heated the motor. It hit 250.:) Lasted about 15-20 more runs.

Ok thanks for the help, I saw some novak racing motors that are compatible BUT, I just got another offer-
A like new Mamba Max 5700kv for 125$
how does that offer sound like?

I'd go for it. You'll most likely need some 20c+ lipos to get that combo to perform right. It may cog and over-heat nimh's. You can help this with lower gearing. Somebody that has ran this setup may pop in with some better advice. I don't think you could go wrong with that combo though.:)

3500+ Zippys or Turnegy if your on a budget. Check out www.hobbyking.com. Post what your thinking about buying on here, and we'll let you know if it's what you need. If you've never used lipos before, read up on them. They can be dangerous if handled carelessly.

Any of those will work fine, as long as they'll fit your ride. Charger, I'd say something that balances, is good up to 6s and charges at a peak amperage of 5 or higher.
