Just a bit of a tip for the .30 fans. just cause it's biger does not mean it's better and they are more for torque not to much top end. Also, all the motor in the world won't help you get to be a better driver. I always here guys say they can smoke me, but I run a spotwerks .26 and always waste them if they can't drive with that 400$ mill, Know what I mean?

I'd say what's the track like?...that usually dictates which engine to use.....if you have a long stretch then you'd be looking at a different engine than one for a short technical track.....I like the P5 for short track or the RG if you want to learn to drive better......the Rg has good low grunt but revs out real quick......I have an excellent used one for sale if you want to try it, I keep one in my pit box incase I go to the track and it's all newbies.....the RG is NOT a seriously competitive engien compared to the ones mentioned.....BUT it's very reliable and cheap....
for longer tracks the RB WS72 is a real top end monster, the new WS73 I haven't seen but have yet to hear any bad comments on it.....the JP stuff is insane...Mega, rossi, Rex, Top all basically the same hardware w/ timing differences from each company doing their own "mod"......the O.S. V-spec is nice if the bearings don't fail....the newer batches have better bearings than th efirts runs did......there's so many to choose from you can get lost in the lists.......see what the fastest guys at your track are running first.....they've probably gone way techno weenie and have the layout and RC setup dialed...

this is true...but if you overgear a low end engine you can get some pretty cool results.......and I agree w/ the engine not being the wining factor...it's almost all driver skill....
