using this as a general place for anyone to share different parts or cars to get opinions on if they don’t want to make a whole thread for it we’ll see how well this thread turns out I guess lol

anywho I wanted to ask what yall thought of this

https://www.amainhobbies.com/hobbyw...-esc-sd-g2.1-motor-combo-hwa38020371/p1544564

looking for a cheap solution to get my slash going for racing don’t want nothing fancy for it as it’s more of a just for fun thing but i’d like to stay hobby wing since I have the programmer controller

Your slash is 2wd right? Yea that combo should suffice a slash.

My opinion though, I would go with that same motor, or a 13.5 that has end bell timing, and pair it up with a 10bl120 G2 SD esc.

Well, that's assuming if you are running in a open class. If running in a stock class where a blinky esc is required, that justock esc should be fine. It's just a bit tiny 60a esc so I'd just keep watching temps on the esc. Since I believe the slash would be heavier than most traditional 2wd scts like sc6.4 and scx2

so I have to run a 13.5 mod sct class at first state and another track is gonna let me run it with stadium trucks lol at least they said they would but we will see

my slash also is far from stock and has the pro line lcg chassis so it may be lighter? idk but I def don’t want to spend too much on it either lol

thanks i’ll take a look at those then
Or unless anyone else has other cheaper suggestions lol.

You could always gear up if needed too.

I got a max 10 SCT combo in mine. IDC if it's not race spec electronics, I'll just run it in a mixed or mod class and send it lol

Rules. Don't we all hate em 🙄🫤
Over the years, running stock/spec classes, I've seen so many people trying to find magic voodoo in batteries, motors, sauces, and whatnots to gain those precious seconds. "Stock" has been known to change people's mental health :thumbs-up:🫣:p.

i’m just here for some fun

The guy they just wheeled out of here in the straight jacket was saying the same thing...
"I'm just here for fun"
Only he said it over and over again and he was sweaty and shaking...
