Computers with only a gig were state of the art
Shell Toe addidas with the Fat laces were the rage (break dancing)

I remeber when Vons was Safeway.

I remember getting picked up from school by my dad in his e-type Jag.

I remember the huge parties for the queens silver jubilee (1977)

No air conditioners in houses or cars.
Drug store soda fountains.
Soda and beer cans without pop tops.
Single speed bikes that were heavier than the rider.

I remember Air Wolf, The A-Team, The greatest American Hero, Knight Rider, Castle McCormick and the Dukes of Hazard.

I also remember when "remote controlled" toys had a cord on them. I remember the plastic helicopters on a spring wire. You pushed the button on the flashlight handel and it would fly up. Let go it would fly down. They also gave you those two plastic people circles and triangles that you could never catch.

I remember Collico Vision, Donkey Kong, Looping, NES, Super Mario Brothers.

I remember coding on the Tandy TRS80 which was older than me. Push the buttons and it would go CHUNK CHUNK CHUNK. I remember Tandy 386 computers that were lightning fast. I remember QuickBasic. I remember 72-pin SIMMs. I remember Duke Nukem and Leasure Suit Larry. I remember the Blue and White screen they called "Word Perftect 5.0". I remember printing out my english essays on a dot matrix printer. I remember DOS. I remember when 14.4 modems were the bomb. I remember BBS's. I remember Door Games. I remember Trade Wars. I remember running my own BBS. I remember Visual C++ 3.0. I remember when Internet Explorer didn't exist and netscape was the bomb. I remember dialing into "SLIP" accounts. I remember when viruses came on floppy disks and the first day SPAM showed up in anyone's email inbox. I remember checking my email with "pine". I remember infoseek.com, webcrawler.com and altavista.com. I remember Eudora 3.0.

I remember my Vic 20 with a cassette tape drive.
I remember my Commodor 64 that could play games on the TV.
I remember my portable Kaypro word processor with a green screen, and the OS and memory on separate 5" floppys. Keyboard and monitor flipped shut into a carrying case with a handle.
(I still have it) It's in immaculate condition.
I remember the days with no computers.
I remember when cashiers actually had to figure out your change.
 
Oh man I forgot the C64! For shame. I didn't have one but my friend did and we spent countless Saturdays in front of that thing.
 
Back in those days, I saw a car with a license plate that said 64K-RAM, and had a small apple sticker on it.
I guess he was the worlds first geek.

I remember the TV show "High Chapperal", Lucy episodes in B/W, especially the one with John Wayne, I remember my mom's 63 Karmen Ghia, her '64 Bug with the full slider rag roof, dad's '69 911, '70 Mustang GT500, and I barely remember the end of the seventies, I think I was testing some Humboldt Blaze... Damn those college years.

And I remember the first time I did a LOT of things...
 
SOAP Was tha poop.....Burt w/ the wavin his hands snappin his fingers snd "you can't see me" OH MAH GAWD......LMFAO.....I remember MASH when I was just a lad.......I actually named my ferret Mjr. Frank Burns.....MASH IS the best show of all time bar none......
 
I remember building a P.E.T computer from a Heath Kit.
Getting my first tape drive for my 64 that used audio cassets.

I remember the first T.I. calculators. Yes, I know how to use a slide ruler.

I remember first reading about the invention of the LCD watch. At the time they were close to 1,000.00 and being marketed to the "Learning Impaired. At that time it just fine to call them retards.

I remember when being politically correct wasent even a coined phrase.
I remember having the school teacher make me sit on my Left hand and make me wright with the hand that sucks.
I was also intimate with the paddle that the School Principle had in his office.

I remember walking to school and everywhere else for that matter.

I remember dinner at 6 o'clock on the dot.If you weren't there you didn't eat.

I remember going to bed without supper because I broke the window in the garage.

I remember my older brother and sister sneaking me out of the house(wrapped in a blanket) for my first fireworks show.

I remember playing outside until you heard the "whistle" from what seemed like a mile away letting you know it was time to come in.

I remember when Nintendo was the best video game system on the market and my older brother not letting me play.

I remeber leaving my Tonka trucks out in the rain and needing a tetanus shot after cutting my hand on it lol!
