I still get the chills when I hear the Sleestacks...

I remember watching the Hawiian Brady Bunch episode with the Tarantula, right after snapping a polaroid of my high score on Atari's Pitfall.. lol

Anyone remember the show "Automan"? Was a show of a wiz that created a super hero with an extremely fast well handling car? But at the crack of dawn he disappeared? Had all kinds of neat gadgets?

I also remember my mom making me watch her soap operas at nite. Dynasty? Dallas? Colbys? Knot's Landing? Falcon crest? OMG! It was TV for us back then.


I remember when TV was Black and white and the colored ones were too expensive.

I remember when 20 buck at the gas station filled up my old 68 impala.

I remember when The lakers were awesome with Magic, Kareem Byron and Worthy.

I remember when Sports was about sports and not about lockouts..Ahem HOCKEY..Ahem

I remember the Yugo...wish I didn't.

I remember when cell phones fit on your passenger seats and had to be held with two hands.

I remember clear skies and no smog in Los Angeles.

I remember my Timex Sinclair 2000 "PC" Strictly designed to program in BASIC only and had a whopping 2K memory module that I purchased separately. Hadta give it some power!!!
I remember when Tonka trucks were metal and perfectly capable of taking a finger off.

If you missed, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, a peanuts special or Willy Wonka....you waited another year......Bummer

There were NO cell phones and the mindless, rude, big feeling, car crash causing, LOOK @ ME I HAVE A CELL PHONE, THEREFORE I'M IMPORTANT PEOPLE were not surrounding me while I eat, drive or watch a movie. Man I miss those days!!!!!!!!!!

I remember when people fell or got hurt due to their own clumsiness or stupidity, they'd dust themselves off, rather than sue the nearest business.

I remember soda bottles in ICE cold water for a dime. If you took it home, you left a 2 cent deposit, and you always brought it back.

I remember someone putting gas in the car, washing the windshield and checking the oil.
Now I have to pay a lot more, and do it myself.

I remember the first time I saw a color TV.

I remember seeing Neil Armstrong set his foot down, and hearing him give the "One small step for man" speech. On a black and white TV.

I remember getting suspended from school because my hair touched my collar.

I remember my girlfriend getting sent home from school because she wore slacks instead of a DRESS.

I remember there were consequences to premarital sex, so you though twice about it.

I remember gas at 20 cents a gallon, and cigarettes 35 cents a pack.

I remember, and made many, dime phone calls.

I remember 5 cents would buy enough candy to make you sick.

I remember that the words "Mr." or "Mrs." before speaking to adults was not only expected, we didn't feel stupid about saying it, and we'd get our butt whacked if we didn't.

I remember that a good butt-whacking was what kept us in line, not what we used to get on Oprah.

When we didn't have to critique the believability of a movie because we **wanted** to believe it.

I remember you could recognize a woman by her soft skin and a man by his beard, and neither had any interest in being the other.

I remember the excitement at Christmas, when I got a 2 foot long metal tractor trailer that I could push around on my hands and knees.
