What do I need to seal an engine?

Just wondering what brand of liquid gasket I need? Also besides the gasket, anything else I need? thanks

High-temp RTV. I bought the copper looking stuff. The red stuff works well also.

I use Permatex Ultra Copper. It's oxygen-sensor safe so it won't have an effect on any o-rings or rubber seals in the engine. I've only had to seal 1 of my engines and it has worked well so far.
