So i thought i would make the 2 hour journey to RCX, to see what all the hoopla was all about. It was pretty cool, though I thought it was going to be much larger with many more RC companys there. Dont get me wrong there were alot of the companys there and there was a lot to see, I was just expecting more.

Had some nice tracks for off road, on road, some drifters, boats along with a battle bots type thing. I thought the off road track was the poo! huge jump in the middle (I mean HUGE!) big with multiple configurations. I wish they would have let the spectators drive on it. I would have embarresed that new Tamyia TNX with my savage 26. I wasent too impressed with it.

They had all the New trucks there that were comming out, However I didnt get to see any of the trucks i wanted to see demoed. Let me know if I'm wrong, but NO genesis demo, NO LST demo and NO Revo demo WTF. That is why i went.

As for the Genesis it is SOOOOO big. Thoes rims make my 40's look tiny. It looks pretty intimdating. It had the body on it too, looked like maybe it was a FORD, kind of hard to tell though. The Video that they had playing for the Genesis was WEAK. No jumps just climbing a hill over and over again.

The LST looked good. Very interesting design, also large but not as big as the Genesis. The shocks are huge, you really dont get a good feel as to how big they are from the pics.

All i saw of the Revo was the Chassis, so i can't comment on it much. I did see the shock cantalever in action though, it makes me wonder how strong it will be , along with that top shock on the Genesis.

What impressed me most was the MS Composite mini helis. Those things were so awesome. I have to have one. Tiny little helis doing some crazy moves. Electric, quiet and clean.

Oh yea one more thing. Ramtech your rims were far and away the best that i saw at the show. I gotsa get me a set of those 40's that you make, was that black crome on them. Kudos on the quality and craftmans ship. I will some day own a pair.

WHat are you taling about? I saw the New Traxxas Revo. I have proof ! I had a video on it!! They had a rolling chassis to show the suspension set up and a complete one right next to it!!. I di not see the LST as well though. I thought it was awesome.!! Love the dirt track . I was laughing at the Mammoth as the first run it does it breaks from a little jump. HAHAHAHA. Never liked anyways. The demos were awesome.Sucked the fact that most of the vendors weren't allowed to sell thier products due to the RC mags. I don' know why? The flyer said there would be killer prices for the attendees. Freaking liars. Anyways I did see the REVO. It was cool looking but the same..Come on.

EDIT-- Sorry bout the Revo comment I flew off the trigger on that one. YOu did see it too. THE LST was not around when I went Saturday.

What i meant by not seeing the Demo, is that i didnt see any of those trucks on the track. I saw them all at their respective booths, but did not see any of them running. I'm also not saying they didnt run, i just didnt see them while i was there. Dont take what i say for gospel, these are just my opnions of what i saw.

Thanks for the good words. You should have introduced yourself!!

As far as the Demos, they were doing them throughout the day, you had to listen to the announcements. I saw the Genesis, and it was taking crazy jumps. The LST was doing well for a few minutes, then had a mishap.

Traxxas finally took the REVO out on Sunday. EDIT-- (TRAXXAS now says that was the S-Maxx, they didn't run the REVO?? ) It looked good racing around the turns, but I didn't see any huge air. Some other guys got videos, so you should see those popping up soon.

The big hit of the show was the micro helicopters. They must have sold a thousand of those. And alot of electric kit planes.

The word on the street is they are going to have a few more RCX events across the country. It seemed to be a big hit with everyone.

I hope they take it to the NYC area. The Jacob Javits center would most probably be the venue they choose if it foes come here to the trisate area.

Ramtech, I introduced myself to you. I was there on Sat. I was metioning that i recognized the Savage that you guys had on display, because i had seen it on RCNITROTALK, and you said that it was your favorite site. I told you that i was Shogun1122 and that i would talk to you online sometime.

Anyways, I got to get one of those mini helis. I couldnt believe my eyes when i saw them. They are made by MS Composite, if anyone is intrested. I wanted one so bad that i told my friend that went to the Show the next day to pick me up one, but he didnt want to fork out the cash.

I can't believe i missed the Demos, well i couldnt really be there all day cuz i had other stuff to do. If anyone has any video you should post it in the video section so that we may all bask in the glory of these new trucks.

Late

Yeah, now I remember you standing on the left side of the booth. That was a crazy day with all those peopel asking questions.

i got to see the lst there, but not the revo, which was the main thing i had come for :( about the lst, i can say that it is SO durable. it easily launched 20+ ft of the big jump multiple times without breaking. it didn't land them all, either. half the time it landed upside dowm , on an a-arm, w/e. super durable truck, but not very fast

The only time I saw the LST was when they broke it. I think Losi went all out and used their trucks. Not like the other guys, who were scared to air it out. On Friday and Satuirday, there were so many people asking for the revo, that I guess Traxxas had to at least start it up.

Is this in Radio Control *cough*Traxxas*cough* Car Action?

They gave away the awards on Saturday night at a banquet. Maybe it will be on the RCCA site this week.

Did any remember who made the Heli's and how much they cost?

I thought the show was a lot better than last year. There were a lot of people. THe rc solutions booth was jammed. I didn't talk to anyone except JANG from ultimaterc.com - I was literally either driving or fixing trucks the whole time (of course I would have found time to talk to Fasteddy, but he was rearranging his sock drawer all weekend!).

The dirt track was awesome, much better than last year. I did my first public back flips with my cybermaxx and a Mammoth. In fact I did 7-8 backflips in a row with the mammoth, including 3 or 4 doubles, before it finally broke an a-arm.

I was so busy I never made a full trip around, and didn't even see Ramtech's booth. SOrry Rob!

Yeah, I was at the award dinner and everyone was wondering how the revo was truck of the year when it isn't even out. I think the winners were exactly the same as last year, in all catagories.

Did anyone see the hardcore chasis for the T-Maxx (I think) with the spider web cutouts, the iron cross cutouts, and flame cutouts? Really neat titanium chasis.
On the whole I was kind of disappointed with RCX, I wanted to buy an RB engine and they weren't even represented. I did get a remote camera for my cars though.

Is the the heli u guys saw?

It's a Hornet II Micro Heli. The price tag is $845.00!

Scott, my booth was right behind your pit booth. I only went over to your booth, since I kept seeing all these hot chicks with RC-Solutions shirts on.

That remote camera guy was doing well. He had people lined up all day. Let us know how it works. He had people coming back with questions all day Sunday.

I'll tell them you said so! Oh, was that your tv we kept unplugging? LOL! You sould have seen all the chargers we and the Hacker guys had going - at least 10 different ones.
