Just happened to find a Tamiya Lunchbox - how much do these normally go for and is this one a good price?

I'd get a new re-release kit. The vintage one you linked most likely has the mechanical 3 step speed control. The re-release comes with an ESC.

I've got a re-release at home that I'm in the process of refurbishing. They are fun little rigs and actually handle pretty well in stock form.

That is really clean for that price. I would only buy it for a shelfer though. If you want a vintage one to run keep watching craigslist. I've seen them for around $30 - $50 complete.

I always thought the lunchbox was cool looking. I may have to pick one up eventually.
