This is the biggest weekend for grilling, just wondering what you guys got planned. Share some recipes.

Mine are simple. Either burgers or steak.
Burgers get onion soup mixed in, steaks don't get anything but some bbq sauce. Like to do something different.

Just bought a smoker and would like to try some ribs.
Did some pork loin in it about a month ago. Was pretty good.

I know ya have a favorite. Share the love with us.

I don't know yet I might burn some rubber haha ok can you say lamO!
I really like smoking brotwurst it don't take to long. I think I might make some shrimp and stake kabobs, burgers a must some dogs for the kids,pasta salid, deviled eges, nothing special just your everyday bbq stuff. I like your thread tho maybe Ill find something new on here,good idea!

Howdy, Digger!
I'm on the way to your house. I'll be bringing some WalMart wine in a 5 gallon box and some fresh possum road kill. :p:

Sadly not grilling anything this year. I'm flying solo for the weekend so I'll probably just grab something quick and settle in to watch the race at Daytona.

Just Brauts and dogs this year. My sons 10th birthday is the 5th so we are saving most of the festivities till then.

Just some burgers and dogs on the grill for us...maybe some bratts....we shall see. Grilling by the pool for the day.

Grocery outlet had a case of Spaghetty O's and meatballs (cambells) for $7 of 12, so thats what i'll be dining on....

Going to my sister-in-laws place on the 4th since it's also her birthday.

Her hubby will be cooking up some sort of charred animal flesh. Probably Tri-Tip with some chicken and some dogs for the kids.

Bear Creek BBQ is doing it all for us this year. My mother in law always throws a big party and that is what she is doing this year. Should be finger lickin good! Going to be a busy day with Friends and family. I will park myself next to the cooler and let the good times roll. Then since we can see the fireworks at the county fair grounds from our front yard, we will kick back and enjoy the show at dark. Then it's off to the basement to watch the rest of the Daytona race.... that Jr is going to win!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

I do this every summer and it always disappears in seconds and gets rave reviews:

Grilled Salmon & Habanero Lime butter

* 1 freakin gigantor slab of Salmon, Costco is your friend here
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 1/2 cup orange juice
* 3 tablespoons lime juice
* 1 tablespoon tequila (the crappier the tequila the better for some weird reason)
* 1 tablespoon grated lime zest
* 1 tablespoon minced habanero pepper
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1/4 cup butter, softened
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
* 1 tablespoon lime juice
* 2 teaspoons minced habanero pepper
* 2 teaspoons grated lime zest

*** double the above ingredients (except salmon) if your slab o Fish is over 2lbs.

Salmon:
stir together vegetable oil, orange juice, 3 tablespoons lime juice, tequila, 1 tablespoon lime zest, 1 tablespoon habanero pepper, and garlic. Reserve a small amount to use as a basting sauce, and pour the remainder into a shallow baking dish. Place the salmon in the shallow dish, and turn to coat. Cover & refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, turning frequently. Helps if you fork the salmon (poke a bunch of holes into it with a fork, not what you were thinking.. pervert.) to get the flavor to really seep in.

Butter sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together softened butter (do not microwave to soften, it messes it up), garlic salt, 1 tablespoon lime juice, 2 teaspoons habanero pepper, and 2 teaspoons lime zest. Cover, and refrigerate.

Grilll Salmon. Throw butter on Salmon. Eat fast if you expect to get seconds.

I'll be out doing BBQ at two places this Saturday. It's fun to cook for people, and I get free food. Plus I make some extra RC money.

I think both of them are gonna be igs on a spit. Best way to eat pork IMO. :D

Never tried fish on the grill. Always wanted to. That recipe sounds pretty good.

Just bought a smoker like this http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10854137. Anyone got any tips on using it?
Only thing I have "smoked" in it so far has been a pork loin. Last of it ended up pulled pork sandwiches (guess that is what you would call it).
After tearing it apart, I just added regular Kraft BBQ sauce and a little vinegar. Was pretty good.

Rolex, saw 2 pretty good size coons in the road yesterday. Wish you would've told me earlier you were coming. I'll get a little extra though. Might even sneak over to the neighbor's and get a chicken. Got my eye on one. Been putting a whipping on my prize chicken for the last few Saturday nights. I'd like to do a "beer can chicken" just to get even.
Don't stop on that big paved road on the way to my house if ya spot something. I'd feel bad if somebody clipped your walker. :D

Got one recipe outta you guys. How about some more?
Have fun and be safe this weekend.

This recipie is real easy and the ingredients are easy to find as well.

1 Cooler (60 to 80 can capacity)
2 Bags of ice (well broken up)
1 Lawn Chair (real comfortable)
2 cases of your favorite adult beverage

Combine, ice and cooler and add adult beverage in layers with the ice
Let chill approx. 1 hour

Sit your arse in the lawn chair, open adult beverage and enjoy!

LMAO, digger. While you were at WalMart you should have grabbed an extra box of wine.
No problems with the walker since I installed all those blinking LEDs on it. :alarm:
