1 track says no mod 4x4 buggy and 4x4 sct because it is unsafe to marshal. Like how is it more unsafe to marshal from the regular "stock" classes and 2wd mod buggies? Although the owner says bring back mod racing. Lol. The other bigger track that charges per car for practice days, they just said no when I replied to their post back in the summer about their new track lol. (They don't race 4x4 sct either) The only reason why they probably ban the use of it or don't race them is to "save and protect the carpet". If I were to open my own carpet track, id allow 4x4 sct, even 1/8 buggy. Just have chassis protectors. And shock tower protectors if exposed. For heavier cars there would be about a 20-22mm ride height limit. Where most current tracks for buggy ride height limit is around 14/15mm. Miss the old days of racing 4x4 sct on carpet. Modified too, although it was generally a open class. Way too fun.

My local indoor dirt track, for normal club racing. Although stated in the timing system of 13.5 or 17.5 drivers still mix stock and mod and run it all in 1 class. Sometimes causes a rant in the facebook group because of mixing classes instead of separating the 2.

I even changed to a countersunk chassis so I could run on carpet. I will run a protector for my chassis, screw the carpet!
I have raced on multi class tracks. It wasn't terrible but you need to have good drivers on the track who don't mind the different speeds and moving over if theres a missle mod coming up on your blinky bumper!
