That was a rough hurricane season for sure. After being hit by three category 3 or better hurricanes in 6 weeks, was when my wife had a meltdown and said we were moving, period! She just couldn't handle it any more after that.

When we got hit with the three in six weeks I was in Sebring, two of the storms the eye passed withing 25 miles of my house, the third one went directly over my house, that was the one that finished my wife. They had all criss crossed the state very close to where I lived, and they had not had a hurricane hit that area in over 60 years before that. Then Ivan passed too close for comfort for her, and after that she took my boys and went to NY to stay with her parents until hurricane season was over.
I grew up and lived in South Florida when Andrew hit, as well as so many others over the years that I have lost count.
