Looks like it was the throttle trim on the transmitter. Not much talk about that on here that I've seen.
It was cranked all the way clockwise.Turned it back all the way counter-clockwise and it fired right up.
We went through 2 more tanks of fuel doing figure 8s, shutting it down, letting it cool, firing it up for a total of 5 tanks at no more than 1/2 throttle.
We took it up to our middle school. Lots of asphalt, grass and hills. Once there it was tough to start. Maybe because it was 33* and VERY windy???
Whatever, I played with the LSN a bit and finally got it to run. We ran through 4 tanks of fuel non stop except to pit it but left it running. Just a little tiny bit of fuel coming out of exhaust.Smoking a bit much but I figure I'll lean it down next time out. Idles great. Runs like a champ.
We put it on the tar to adjust the HSN. Wide open from dead stop..I swear it was doing 150 mph in about 4 seconds. No exageration...really..150 mph.
Then dad got cold so we called it a wrap. My son said "this thing rocks. Thanks dad." Made my day. Then he added "wait till I get my Revo.I'm gonna kick your butt."
GHM

Sounds AWESOME N.N but me thinks your son is right it's going to be a blast when you both have something to run!!
150mph!! must be some machine :D hehehe feels like it though huh!

man glad you got it going.its the best running nitro with your kids my son loves it.these are the times you will never forget with your kids

Hey man, I'm so glad to hear that you got it going. Sounds like your even headed in the right direction with the tuning! I figured it was probably the throttle trim, I tried to help you with what I could but I didn't want to tell you to turn it counter-clockwise in case your transmitter was different than mine. Now when things aren't going right and I get really frustrated (which has only happened a few times becauase of the guys on here) I can remember that I'm not a total failure, I once diagnosed a throttle trim problem and for once didn't screw it up.
