i have a slash and like to drive it in the snow:snowman:. then i had to drie it off and it took forever:angry:. do i have to drie it off or is it water proof like the suimmit?

make sure your batteries can take the moisture as well.

The Slash is highly water resistant, but not waterproof.

Do remember that the stock pinion gear will rust so be sure to take the cover off and spray it with WD40 after running in wet conditions.

Wasn't there a video floating around of someone that jumped theirs into a swimming pool multiple times?

yep, and a guy from my lhs drove his around the bottom of his pool. if they use the same electronics as they do on the summit, i can verify its waterproof. i made sure :D

Just make sure you read your manual for after care procedures when running in wet conditions.

You will want to clean out the motor! Water (and debris) will eventually mess it up. Just get some electric motor cleaner from WalMart or an auto parts store. Stick the spray straw in the motor and hose it out for a few seconds. The spray will evaporate away. This will, however, also remove the oil from the shaft bearing so add a drop of light machine oil to it to keep it spinning freely.
