Hey guys i drowned my Wraith yet again. decide to take stuff apart and discover my transmitter hasnt been waterproofed... no wonder i keep killing it lol.
I went the conformal coating route. fingers crossed. This truck uses a traxas tqi reciever and transmitter
pop the case off theres 2 little tabs on one side and 1 long tab on the other, give em a gentle push and they pull
BE CAREFUL OF THE ANTENNA DONT BREAK IT
Then take some conformal silicone and paint it on. it takes 15 mins to dry between coats
i coated everything but the pins themselves.
let it dry, i had time and was in no rush so i let it dry for a ful day between the first and second coating.
i need to grab a UV light it makes the coating glow letting you see if there are any areas you missed. i just made sure to coat it like a madman to ensure i coated it fully.
i feel like its pretty well waterproofed now. if i do get another water issue ill just dip the entire shebang into some plastidip.
