- Considering getting a water-proof e maxx
- Have only used nimh batts
- Have a dynamite vision peak 2 charger (nimh/nicad only)

Are a123 cells and lipo packs waterproof? I dont want to spend a WHOLE lot on an e maxx if I get one, but the cost of good 7 cell nimh packs are close to the cost of lipo or a123 packs. Of course I would have to get another charger, but I was/am thinking about getting a better one (such as a muchmore silent ac/dc charger, the hyperion EOS0606i AC/DC Balance Charger, duratrax ice charger, or the team checkpoint version of the ice) anyway to take better care of my current nimh's.

Thanks, and hopefully you understand that my question has to do with the batteries and not the chargers:hehe:

I believe they are. If the LiPo packs are shrink wrapped you'll be fine. Not sure about the A123 Cells though. You can make it into a pack and then shrink wrap it or electrical tape it.

That's great! Does anyone else use lipos or a123s in a waterproof vehicle, or know that they can be used?

I answered -.-

Haha just kidding.

Did you real the tutorial on how to waterproof things with Plastidip? I don't think it works with batteries though.
