IS this a bad idea? Obviously id remove the motor and electronics.

I think I would just do a tear down and wash it all by hand then dry it right after then I can also check every thing during tear down and rebuild to make sure every thing works correctly. Thats what i would recomend, I dont think its a good idea to put it in the dish washer IMO.

just dont use the hot setting or the heated dry. one guy put in a red aluminum t-maxx and pulled out a pink aluminum t-maxx....

Thx guys.. I ended up just hand cleaning it and checking it over. I want to throw it in the dishwasher but something tells me not to, had to ask. Gonna take it to work tomorow and blast it with an air gun, get all that small stuff blown out. I like having a clean rig, love it even more when I'm getting it dirty though!!

my girlfriend would have kittens if i even suggested that.. ha ha ha ,
gotta love the thinking though.

A garden hose with a pressure stream nozzle works wonders for situations like this....

Just cap off your carb. I don't have to worry about my receiver getting wet as it's in a box that's quite hard to get water inside of.

:)

I don't mind getting my rig filthy. But when I clean it, I like it spotless! Mine was looking brand new today, until we went out for abit. Ended up snapping 2 arms cuz buddy was driving like a lunatic.

I would make him pay for it! :hehe:

Yeah that would be nice! He said he's gonna pick some up at the shop but who knows if he really would. Kinda made me mad but he ended up breaking his RPM arms and bent the aluminum body tower on his savage so it evened out. Gonna price out some new parts tomorow from my lhs, might be cheaper to buy from Stormer, I just hate waiting.

I say that you should support your local hobby shop so that when you need parts now they are there for you. It's also a good place to meet and BS with others in your hobby.

Yeah I hear ya on the supporting end, but they are always way more expensive than any other place I can find parts at. And not just a few cents, 5-10$ more.
